Net-Tex Itch Stop Salve/Summer Freedom, 300 ml

I was a bit skeptical about what this would be like, i used to buy another brand which changed its formulation completely and thought Nettex might have done the same with the rebranding. But this is a brilliant product, it is greasy (fairly solid when cold, but easy to smear on when it's warmer) so makes a bit of a barrier for sensitive skin against midges. My itchy horse has found this very soothing and it's allowed the hair to grow back where she had rubbed her skin. A little goes a long way and because it's oily, it doesn't wash off in the rain.

This actually works!! Have a mare who rubs her mane half way down and this sorts the problem straight away. I only put more on every few weeks too so excellent value

My Irish Sport is 24 years old and had never had sweet itch until last summer with the insane heat, so I very much got caught out and she ended up losing most of her mane and the base of her tail. Her already thin forelock was completely gone and she had sores all over, but with the help of this stuff it was all growing back noticeably and her sores were healing within a couple of weeks!When I bring her in there's a cloud of flies following her. As soon as I start applying this Summer Freedom, they all disappear. It's expensive, but what isn't in the horse world? It's greasy, but I don't think the other horses laugh at her. At the end of the day, I'm happy to see her not agitated by the bugs.This year I started using it weekly from April before it got hit, and while she's had a couple of itchy spots, an extra dab of cream on these quickly clears them up.

It was the exact product i wanted but please please if you're buying this double check the size. The picture shows the full size 500ml but you only get a 300 i think it was. I needed it as itchy horse and it was next day delivery i think but just a caution if you are careful with your money. I'd never seen a smaller tub before so i just bought it without looking at size
