I had an early version of this, which I foolishly gave away, and needed a new one. Extremely sharp, well built and easy to use. Spend the extra few buck and get one that will last 20 years.

I purchased this saw to be used as a pocket saw. It cuts great and it fits easily and comfortably in my hip pocket. I walk hiking trails and, occasionally, I want to remove some fallen brush. The saw has done a great job cutting through oak branches up to 2 inches thick. I'd estimate one could cut through a 2 inch oak branch in a minute or two. In fact, in a tangled mass of fallen brush, this small saw does a better, faster job than a much larger one because it can be used in tight spaces.The saw is often considered as an "emergency saw". I think it would be ideal for this. There are lighter saws out there, but they seem to have reliability problems. This thing is really tough if you're careful.The saw is sold as a pruning saw. It does a great job, both on twigs and on branches that are too big for hand clippers.The only complaint I have is that you have to be careful to cut only in one direction. If you accidently use a back and forth motion you can bend the blade. I've done this and have bent the blade slightly. This is why I have rated the saw 4 stars instead of 5. But I will, definitely, buy another one when I ruin the one I have.

This is a great saw, well balanced and easy to use. I keep it with my four wheeler so when I am on the trail I can cut any brush and limbs that may be in the way. Felco is a very trusted brand and has been around for a long time. It is very handy to have around the house when you need to do some trimming to bushes or trees. Cuts nice and clean.

Used the saw to do some fruit tree trimming. Fast and efficient. The only regret is that I did not get one of the longer ones. The products from Felco (the pruning clippers for example) are fabulous.

The Felco brand folding saw was a great buy for myself. It may be a little more pricey than some of the others, but the quality is worth it.Before I bought the Felco saw, I had purchased a cheaper brand (about $11) at a department store because I needed it right away. I used the cheaper saw a handful of times and it took a lot of effort to cut down some soft wood volunteer mulberry trees roughly 3 to 5 inches in diameter. I then tried the cheaper department store saw on a hardwood ash tree, and it took me roughly 15 to 20 minutes to cut through a 2 inch branch. That is when I decided to go ahead and spend the extra money to purchase the Felco brand saw through Amazon. When I received the Felco saw, I promptly tried it out on the same hardwood ash tree and it cut through the same diameter of branch in less than a minute. Continued to use the Felco saw to prune the rest of the tree and had no problems. My opinion is that it would eat right through a softwood mulberry volunteer tree also.I would recommend the Felco brand folding saw to others.
