Really impressed with the DJI Neo. It’s properly easy to use, even if you’re not a drone expert. The palm take-off works really well and the controller-free setup makes it feel much less intimidating than older drones I’ve owned. The tracking is great and it follows you smoothly without constant input. QuickShots are a nice touch too and make it easy to get good footage without spending ages messing with settings. The video is sharp and the stabilisation does a great job, even when you’re moving. It also feels well protected. The built-in propeller guards are ideal for peace of mind, especially when using it in tighter spaces or around people, and it’s been very stable in flight. For the size and price, it’s a cracking bit of kit.

An excellent quality , extremely lightweight drone with a lot of features , it's very easy to control by mobile phone , i love the follow me feature, it looks stunning in 4k footage and the drone is surprisingly stable with excellent clear 4K footage. It's very easy to operate , the built in storage feature is good and it's easy to transfer footage to mobile phone using the DJI App. Although lightweight, it's quite a robust little drone that hovers well in slightly windy conditions, if wind gets bad then it can struggle , also dark footage deep in the forest isn't as good as recording in open , bright spaces but the footage overall is very good. It's good to record selfies, group self-esteem, hiking and camping trips and it fits easily in a backpack and adds little weight or takes up little space, so it's a very portable drone for travel, not much over 100g so it's very lightweight at around 135g. Battery life is limited at around 16 minutes , extra batteries are a good option to extend flight time but can be expensive. The drone has excellent functionality and flight features , it can literally take off from the palm of my hand and follow me along forest trails which is excellent. A lightweight, compact drone that is easy to control and command , excellent for outdoor footage in bright conditions, struggles a tad in Windy conditions but definitely an excellent bit of kit for making videos as the footage is very good.

I bought the DJI Neo Mini a while ago but didn’t get to fly it for ages due to constant windy weather. Finally gave it a proper test—and wow, I’m impressed! Despite its tiny size, it handled surprisingly well even in moderate wind. Setup was quick, and the palm takeoff feature is a nice touch. The 4K video is crisp, and the AI subject tracking works like a charm. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and perfect for spontaneous flights. Great value for the price—definitely not just a toy

I purchased the DJI Neo back in October and have been flying it regularly for the past six months. As a previous DJI Mavic Mini owner, I was intrigued by the Neo's controller-free concept, extreme portability, and promises of self-flying capabilities. While it delivers on some fronts, there are definite trade-offs to be aware of. Portability & Design – Almost Perfect: The Neo is incredibly lightweight (around 135g as advertised) and feels surprisingly durable, especially with its built-in propeller guards – a great feature for peace of mind. It’s super portable, living up to its 'mini drone' name. However, a significant oversight is the lack of any included carry case or even a basic protective sleeve. For a drone designed to be taken anywhere, this feels like a miss, and you'll need to factor in an extra purchase for transport. Ease of Use, App & Connectivity: The Neo is genuinely easy to use, and features like Palm Takeoff are intuitive. DJI has made app access easier here compared to some of their older systems, and crucially for me, the Neo offers good Android support – a big plus as my old Mavic Mini had lost app updates and didn't support Android well towards the end. The promise of ongoing app updates for the Neo is reassuring. That said, as with many DJI apps, there can still be a bit of a learning curve or occasional quirkiness. Flight Performance – Tracking & Noise Issues: Flying the Neo is generally a pleasant experience. The 'Follow You' subject tracking is a neat idea and works reasonably well, though I’d rate its reliability around 7 out of 10 times; it does occasionally lose the subject. A more noticeable issue is the noise. For such a small device, it's surprisingly loud – in my opinion, noticeably noisier than my old Mavic Mini. Camera & Footage Quality – The Biggest Compromise: This is where the Neo falls short of my expectations, especially compared to older DJI models. While it boasts a 4K UHD camera, the actual quality of both photos and videos is, frankly, a step down from my older Mavic. The footage is stabilized, but the overall clarity and richness just aren't on par. The images and videos look acceptable, even good, when viewed on small screens like a mobile phone or a small laptop. However, if you plan to display your footage on anything larger than a 24-inch monitor, the quality limitations become very apparent, appearing quite poor. This significantly limits its use for more serious videography or for those who enjoy viewing their drone shots on larger displays. Who is the DJI Neo For? The DJI Neo shines in its portability, ease of use, and modern app support (especially for Android users). If you want an ultra-light, controller-free drone for quick, casual shots primarily for social media or mobile viewing, and you value simplicity and future updates over top-tier image quality, the Neo could be a contender. The built-in guards also make it feel a bit more robust for beginners. However, if you're expecting the kind of image quality DJI is traditionally known for, especially for viewing on larger screens, or if drone noise is a concern, you might be disappointed. The inconsistent subject tracking and the lack of an included case are also notable drawbacks. It's an interesting concept, but one that comes with significant compromises compared to some of DJI's more established lines.

Amazing Drone, perfect for hikers, Instagram, social media. Not amazing in windy conditions- but quality of recording is awesome. the 8 tricks it can do make for a really professional video. The person tracking is great, and this works for running too. Recommend a second battery (17 mins of flight) - but you can recharge from a battery pack between recordings and it charges the relatively small battery pretty fast. They do offers with 2nd batteries and a charger - depends on what you want. Can't fly mega fay away- but can be controlled from your phone to about 25/30 m really. Careful not to fly it out of range where you can't get signal back - it will just hover - then land (e.g. in a lake/ off a cliff) if the battery gets low. It does not return to you when battery hits a limit. But this is a fantastic rugged TINY drone that takes no time to get used to. use the app on the phone to set all the variables- but you can then fly it without the phone on the quick menu built in. Drone tells you all the settings it has from a one button cycle on the top

Already own a sub 250 gram drone with a 4K camera and 3-axis gimble so... Did extensive research prior to purchasing the DJI Neo by reading/watching lots of reviews. After a few days toying with it, I am 110% sold. Nope by no means is it perfect yet IMHO, the positive far outweigh the negatives. Build quality is first rate in my opinion so should stand up fairly well. Props are well protected, battery latches firmly into place, has a camera guard/cover, power and mode control buttons are top mounted, has voice prompts, available in a "Fly More Combo" kit, etc. Super small footprint yet packs a punch. Multifunction in that it can be flown w/o a phone or RC controller, with a mobile phone, and/or with the DJI RC-N3 remote controller. Has palm takeoff and landing, voice control, AI subject tracking and quickshots, etc. Compared to other drones equipped with a single axis gimble, DJI stabilization technology really does a great job in keeping the footage smooth. I've gotten between 11-13 minutes of battery runtime so we are OK with that. My only real complaint(s) would have to be the limited onboard (non-removable/upgradable) storage. Although 22GB seems fairly ample so far it is an odd choice for such a device... To download footage requires plugging the drone into a device, no battery/power-on needed.

Tout d’abord, je tiens à spécifier que mon avis, se base sur la comparaison, entre ce produit, et quelques autres, de la même gamme, soit très peu par rapport à l’offre sur le sur le marché. Vous pensez peut-être acheter un jouet, détrompez-vous ! Ce petit Quadcopter est une super réussite, de quoi rendre jaloux tous ceux qui construisent eux-mêmes leurs modèles. Hormis peut-être quelques petits réglages, je ne vois absolument aucun point négatif. Ce drone est abouti, super polyvalent, abordable, fiable, et avec une bonne autonomie. Je ne fais pas de pub pour la marque en particulier, et je ne suis pas associé ou sponsoriser de quelques manières que ce soit, mais je dois admettre qu’ils ont réussi à mettre au point ce que je n’attendais personnellement pas de cette marque et à ce prix-là. Que vous l’achetiez tel quel et le contrôler avec votre téléphone ou que vous opter pour l’ensemble complet, vous serez satisfait de ce qu’il a à proposer. Je ne suis personnellement pas Vlogger, mais quand même testé les fonctions qui s’y rapportent sans m’y attarder. Cependant, je l’utilise en FPV avec le contrôle. Motion Qui fonctionne réellement bien. Et là, ce petit drone à moins de 200 € se transforme en petit bolide immersif et très facile à manier. J’ai personnellement opté pour les goggle d’entrée de gamme que je trouve très bien, mais propose en moins de fonction que la version classique. Le système de contrôle dit « motion » « classique. Le système de contrôle dit « motion » et réellement surprenant tellement cela fonctionne bien et c’est facile, alors que je n’étais absolument pas convaincu. Compter entre 10 et 15 minutes d’autonomie, voir plus en fonction de votre manière de piloter et du vent qui est un facteur majeur concernant l’autonomie en vol. La caméra offre également une définition surprenante dans le bon sens du terme et équipé d’un système de stabilisation qui vous permet d’avoir un enregistrement sans vibration. Vous obtiendrez jusqu’à une résolution de 4k à 30 images seconde ou 1080 à 60 image par seconde. Si vous planifiez ce type d’achat pour cet été, je pense que vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Je tiens à insister sur le fait qu’il existe peut-être un équivalent chez les autres fabricants proposant des fonctions identiques. Mais je n’ai pas l’occasion de pouvoir tous les tester et donc mon avis qu’un considérer comme basé sur une comparaison, de très peu de produits aux caractéristiques similaires. Dès lors, n’hésitez pas à vous renseigner pour avoir une vue d’ensemble sur les différents modèle. Ma configuration : DJi Neo + Google N3 + DJI motion, pour une utilisation en FPV.

Schon im Vorfeld gab es zahlreiche Leaks und erste Eindrücke von Testern – auch ich konnte dank meiner Kontakte zu DJI die Drohne bereits vorab ausgiebig fliegen. Heute darf ich nun meine Erfahrungen mit Euch teilen, und davon gibt es eine ganze Menge. DIE DJI NEO Mit der Neo schließt DJI geschickt eine Lücke im eigenen Portfolio. Sie positioniert sich günstiger als die Mini 4K und ist gleichzeitig als Spielzeugdrohne gedacht – was keineswegs abwertend gemeint ist, sondern im Gegenteil eine spannende Ausrichtung darstellt. Gerade im Herbst und Winter, wenn Outdoor-Flüge schwieriger werden, eignet sich die Neo perfekt für den Einsatz im Innenraum. Durch ihr geringes Gewicht von 135 g ist sie absolut ungefährlich – zumindest verglichen mit Drohnen wie der Avata (2), die bei Indoor-Crashes durchaus Schäden verursachen können. Trotz ihrer Harmlosigkeit bringt die Neo aber genug Power mit, um richtig Spaß zu machen – ähnlich wie ein Tinywhoop, nur eben im DJI-Universum. FUNKTIONEN UND FLUGMODI Spannend ist die Vielseitigkeit: Klassisches, selbststabilisiertes Fliegen mit Controller und Bildschirm ist möglich, dazu kommt FPV (mit den Goggles 3) sowie der manuelle Modus (mit der DJI FPV Remote 3). Auch der Motion Controller 3 wird unterstützt. Als besondere Spielerei bietet DJI den sogenannten Palm Control: Hierbei lässt sich die Neo komplett ohne Fernbedienung steuern – mit Modi wie Follow, Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight oder Custom-Manövern wie Helix und Boomerang. Ein wichtiger Hinweis: Die Neo besitzt keine Hinderniserkennung oder -vermeidung. Das erfordert gerade bei Indoor-Flügen Aufmerksamkeit. Offiziell unterstützt wird außerdem das Starten und Landen von der Handfläche – ein Feature, das DJI-Piloten schon seit der ersten Air kennen. Wer möchte, kann die Drohne auch direkt per Smartphone steuern, allerdings ist das im Vergleich zu einem echten Controller deutlich weniger präzise. Unterstützte Fernsteuerungen: DJI RC-N3 (im Fly More Combo enthalten) DJI RC 2 (bekannt aus Air 3 und Mini 4) DJI FPV Remote 3 DJI Motion Controller 3 DJI RC-N2 soll kompatibel sein, konnte ich aber nicht testen – hier also bitte selbst prüfen! PREIS UND FERNSTEUERUNGEN Beim Preis zeigt sich DJI diesmal fair. Die Neo gibt es in zwei Varianten: Einzelne Drohne inkl. Akku, ohne Controller: 199,- EUR Fly More Combo mit RC-N3, drei Akkus und Ladehub: 349,- EUR Wer bereits eine kompatible Fernsteuerung besitzt, spart mit der Basisversion bares Geld. Rechnet man Zubehör einzeln hoch, ergibt sich ein sinnvoller Preisvorteil. Interessant ist auch, dass der N3 Controller im Combo-Paket günstiger kommt als im Einzelkauf – und möglicherweise bald auf eBay auftauchen wird. Da die Flugzeit pro Akku bei etwa 15 Minuten liegt, sind zusätzliche Akkus fast Pflicht. Besonders bei Indoor-Flügen wird der Spaßfaktor sonst schnell durch leere Akkus ausgebremst. FLUGGEFÜHL & FPV-ERFAHRUNG Die Steuerung ist präzise, das Fluggefühl angenehm. Allerdings muss man realistisch bleiben: Gewicht und Motorleistung setzen klare Grenzen. Bei Wind ist Schluss, und speziell in großen Höhen – z. B. beim Flug aus einem Hochhausfenster – ist die Neo klar überfordert. Hier droht im schlimmsten Fall der Verlust der Drohne. Zum Thema FPV: Die Neo ist explizit als Übungsdrohne gedacht, um Throttle Control zu trainieren. Für Freestyle-Manöver wie Dives, Split-S oder Power Loops ist sie ungeeignet. Das sollte jedem klar sein, um falsche Erwartungen zu vermeiden – ein Problem, das schon bei der Avata 1 oft auftrat. Als reine FPV-Freestyle-Drohne ist die Neo also nicht konzipiert. Für Indoor-FPV-Flüge macht sie aber enorm viel Spaß. KAMERA Auch wenn die Kamera hier nicht das Hauptargument ist, liefert sie erstaunlich gute Ergebnisse. Sie verfügt zwar nicht über ein mehrachsiges, mechanisches Gimbal, dennoch wirken die Aufnahmen solide. Im Sportmodus können leichte Ruckler auftreten, aber für diese Preisklasse ist das Ergebnis absolut überzeugend. FAZIT Die DJI Neo ist ein cleverer Schachzug von DJI und für viele Nutzer ein spannendes Gerät: Für Einsteiger: ein günstiger, einfacher Einstieg in die Welt der DJI-Drohnen. Für erfahrene Piloten: eine perfekte Spaß- und Trainingsdrohne für drinnen. Meine klare Empfehlung: Fly More Combo, wenn man den N3 Controller benötigt. Einzelversion (199,- EUR) plus Akkus & Ladehub separat, wenn man bereits eine kompatible Fernsteuerung besitzt oder nur im FPV-Setup unterwegs ist. Kurz gesagt: Die Neo ist keine „große“ Drohne, aber ein rundum gelungenes Spaßgerät, das definitiv Lust auf mehr macht – solange man ihre Grenzen kennt.
