Works great! MUCH better
Works great! MUCH better, cheaper and simpler option to get streaming music from my phone into the old car radio without hacking apart the factory audio system. I ended up pulling the factory wires in the trunk out and re-routing them up to underneath the front passenger seat. Then I plugged the Aux2Car box into the factory wiring and the 3.5mm jack lead into the box. I tucked the box under the seat and the lead under the center console trim and just left the end exposed with enough extra to reach my phone in it's dash mount. The factory radio (1999 Cadillac Eldorado) instantly recognized it as a "cd changer - Track 01" and plays whatever I send to it. Audio levels are a bit low, so i have to turn up the sound on the factory radio, but that could be due to the headphone output of my phone. It's good enough, so i haven't explored it at all.

Great Concept, Poor Execution :(
Installed correctly by a pro. There is clicking in the right channel that can't be resolved. Extremely annoying considering the price and hassle of installation. Online search shows others also experiencing signal quality issues with the PXDX unit.

Excellent solution to upgrade my old car stereo, easy to install
This is 1 part of an excellent solution provided by PAC, and supported by the company in Florida by telephone. I was shocked when they picked up and answered a couple quick questions I had. It was like the old days, excellent customer service.Special Note - Don't forget to order the appropriate wiring harness in addition to this interface. It will save you an enormous amount of time and effort.I purchased this product to replace the remote CD Changer in a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS so that an iPod or Android Smartphone could be used to send music through the factory installed BOSE system. Having both this interface and the appropriate wiring harness, I simply removed the CD Changer that was located in the console glove box, and connected this harness to the plug previously attached to the CD Changer. The other side of the harness attached to the PAC PXDX interface. The whole installation was easy in this Cadillac, and took about 20 minutes.Keep in mind you are converting the music source from 6-disk CD Changer to another device like iPhone, iPod or Android device. When you install this system, it renders the 6-disk CD player inoperable, so I removed it from the car. Also note, the existing system in the 1999 Cadillac was a factory installed, in dash BOSE AM/FM Cassette & CD Player System, with an optional 6-CD Changer located in the console glove box (not the dash glove box). Only 2 screws holding the CD changer in place, plenty of room to mount the interface and this pigtail in the console. The whole point of the installation was to play music through the factory Bose system in the car with an iPod or Android SmartPhone. Tested with Samsung Galaxy III, with the Android PowerAmp application. On the Bose system, I simply selected the "CD Changer" (not the CD Player which is in the dash). After allowing the Bose system to find the interface the first time only, it kicked into gear and started playing music from the smartphone. Using the smartphone, the sound quality is better than the CD player ever was, and it brings the Bose System to life.I used this same system in a 2004 Chevy Silverado Truck several years ago, and it's still working there too. Highly recommend.

Does not fit certain 2003 Lincoln Town Cars
I was disappointed to find out that this unit does not form with my car even though it was listed as compatible. I was planning on putting this in my 2003 Lincoln Town Car (Cartier L edition). When i removed the factory radio and disconnected the CD changer harness it was a completely different plug than the vehicles specific harness that I bought with this product. I also unplugged all of the other connectors on the back of the head unit just to make sure I want trying to use the wrong connector, and it didn't match any of them. After doing some extensive research online i found out that this model car was manufactured with 2 different sets of radio harnesses. This unit will only work with the plugs that are black and red in color. My car has grey plugs which are completely different in shape and size. So if you are planning on installing this adapter in the same model car I suggest that you remove your radio before hand and make sure that you have the black and red plugs in the back of your radio. I hope that the description for this product includes this update in the future so anwith else doesn't get disappointed like i did. Unfortunately they don't make a different harnessed to fit these newer versions of these plus so it seems that i will be stuck with having to use an FM modulated device which will inevitably have sub par audio quality. I hope that this review is helpful other customers that would like to add an aux input to their town car. I will updated my post should i find a work around for this issue. Thanks for reading and good luck.

Works perfectly
Added to the factory stereo in my 2003 corvette. You also need a car specific harness to interface between the isimple box and the factory radio. Connected quickly and so far works flawlessly. After adding a bluetooth component to the 3.5mm audio out from the isimple box, I can listen wirelessly through my phone. You dont necessarily need any music in a corvette besides the growl of the exhaust, but its nice to have that option over the regular radio that came with the car.

Product is Defective
Installed this in my truck, a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. Installed with the required kit and had no issues. During unit operation there is a clicking noise in the background and the unit is interfering with the CAN bus network. I emailed the manufacture of the device and they have determined the unit is defective and to return it for another one. I can't do this now as apparently there is a 30 day window and I had to wait a significant amount of time for all the pieces to come due to COVID-19.

Simple, easy & sturdy, but it could have a nicer 3.5mm Aux cable
I got this in order to replace my previous Peripheral PXDP iPod2car interface in my 2004 GMC Sierra, since I replaced my iPod with an Android smartphone. iSimple seems to be a re-branding of Peripheral (both are owned by AAMP). Other than color and logo, the PXDX Aux2car is externally identical to the PXDP. I was able to just flip the appropriate DIP switches, re-use my existing GM harness adapter (in my case, a PXHGM3), and plug the PXDX in where the PXDP was.Frankly, these modules look pretty ugly and crude, and that's just fine. After installation, you'll never see it again. What matters is that they're sturdily made. Having owned and used the PXDP for many years, in temperatures from 40ºC / 104ºF to -20ºC / -4ºF, on and off-road, I can attest to its durability. I had never had a failure or malfunction of my PXDP, and I fully expect the PXDX to perform similarly. My only knock against the PXDX is that the included 3.5mm headphone cable isn't especially flexible. It still has all of its kinks from being folded and packed in the box, and at or below freezing temperatures it becomes very stiff. I'd give it 5 stars otherwise. If you plan on plugging this directly into your device, I'd recommend picking up a good quality 3.5mm male/female extension. If you're using the included RCA cable or some other permanent hookup, it's not an issue. The fact that both 3.5mm and RCA cables are included is a nice touch.

Worked as it should
This worked great but I believe we are overpaying as usual because we are Canadians and the reason for the 4 stars. I believe 65 dollars wold be a good price and should include shipping.Unfortunately Amazon did not have a good selection of the specific vehicle wiring so i had to order it from Crutchfield for my 2006 Jeep Liberty. The 2006 is an odd year that this unit and cable may or may not work so pull the radio to check for cable match and make sure your stereo had a mode button as well.I switched the 4 and 8 pin as stated in the manual and it worked right away. I do wish that PAC would make a decent dash mountable female 3.5mm adapter and include it with this kit. Their current one is for sale on amazon but looks like it needs to be glued to be mounted well. It prefer one with a threaded shaft and had to find one elsewhere with a suitable length threaded shaft.
