Ramco Floss Organizer, 4.5"

The holes are a little close together compared to an old one I had from The Creative Circle (back in the '80s), so you have to be careful to make sure your thread skeins don't intertwine and get caught in each other. Definitely better than the cardboard ones as it doesn't wear out!

I embroider a lot. I got this to save time on sorting out the floss for a large project I am undertaking. This sorter is a well made item, and well worth the very little I paid for it. The edges are smooth, so it won't make your embroidery floss ragged, and it is pretty hefty as far as thickness goes. It is also made in the USA, so I was even happier with it. I am going to buy a few more of these - I highly recommend to anyone who embroiders even a little. It saves time and patience.

This organizer is actually 5-1/4" x 5-1/4" instead of 8" as mentioned in the Product description. The plastic is thick, keeping it from bending and possibly breaking. It's not one of those cheap flexible things that you often see. There are 24 numbered holes for organizing your floss so if you are using more than 24 colors, you'll need more than one organizer.Mine is the butterfly design and it should give years of service. Much better than stuffing your floss into a sandwich bag to get all tangled together.

This is a nice floss organizer. Lots of holes so it can hold many different colors. I embroidery more with yarn and the holes aren't that big but it can hold smaller quantities of yarn. I like the small size because it is easy to slip into a bag.

I would not buy this again. It is sturdy, and does keep floss separated. However, each hole has a number, and because the numbers are just in raised white plastic they are extremely hard to read. I was afraid to use a marker to write on the plastic, as I don't want the ink to come off on the floss, but I will probably just have to do it. This would have been so much better if you could read the numbers on the holes.

I love this butterfly organizer! I have two of them and have given a couple more to friends who are fellow cross stitchers and lovers of embroidery.
