It is really a comprehensive book on the legend Pele and the greatest sports on the earth. Full of information. Rare photographs. Nice layout.

This is an awesome book! It unfolds how Edson the little boy in Bauru has become a great star.. It takes us on a journey of his family life, football career and the various ups and downs in his life! An inspiration for all the people. Worth reading!!

This is a very honest book where a super achiever like Pele shows enough humility to admit his mistakes and shortcomings without losing grace and dignity. His confidence in his footballing abilities on the field is amazing; one also has to respect the fact that he has never done an ad for tobacco, liquor and drug companies notwithstanding phenomenal temptations. He is candid about his humble roots, his friends, political beliefs and the women in his life - issues which celebrities tend to obfuscate in general. Finally, his comparison of footballers particularly between Maradona and himself, probably could not have been conveyed more pleasantly.

Pele starts from his childhood and we all fall into his narration and we travel with him from Brazil to rest of the world and we laugh when happy things happen and contemplate when traumatic things happen and he jumps back to normalcy. I cannot imagine a single point where the books energy slows down. Atlast we get to know how it was to be Pele though not everyone is lucky to be so. Delivery and packing was good. Adios

It's a very good autobiography for football players to read. Order it and don't hesitate to buy it. You are using your money in good direction.....

Good and must read book for every ages

The book was simply unputdownable! A riveting account of a living legend. An epic tale of triumph of discipline, hard work and faith over poverty and destitution - a story of many a kid born in the not-so-developed world. Highly recommended for all teenagers and young adults.

My son who hates to read but loved reading about Pele. It jelps that he loves soccer. I read it myself and Pele loved Pele. It was fun reading.

Obviously a great memoir, no surprises here. Written in 1st person narrative, you can literally feel O'Rey talking us through the greatest years of his careers. Not just football - I was surpised on how much he covered on his personal life, family, his love for Brazilian culture, as well as other not so well-known chapters of his life. i.e. going into debt, and some of his life challenges (ex. Living in USA). Must-read for avid fans, anyone who loves football, or just about anyone who wants to understand how Pele turned a struggling Brazil into 'the' football country, during his 20 years of dominating the sport.

Happened to purchase this before the passing of Pele for my husband and he absolutely loved the gift. Good value, good read and a really sturdy book.
