Great Buy
My second Lodge skillet and this one is huge. You need some muscle on the bone to handle this. Piece of art and Lodge Cast Iron cookware is legendary. After loads of research I now season all my cast iron cookware 6 times before I use it. Cookes some delicious veal chops in Peri Peri sauce which was well appreciated by folks at home. Very easy to clean no sweat at all, use my hand and warm water. Always dry it immediately, put a very thin layer of oil and heat it on slow flame. Cool and store before next use. The picture posted above is after the pan was seasoned.

Top notch skillet for someone passionate about cooking!
Worth the price and the legendary skillet to serve your needs. Slow cooked food has garnered great attention nowadays, cast iron skillet like this one, well this surely helps the cause. Be it the succulent fried chicken or deliciously slow cooked food. Not to mention the iron needed in your daily diet. Albeit high rust sensitivity, if given proper care and attention, this will go a long way in your own kitchen tales.

Overall awesome product !
Overall best product! Heat distribution is fantastic. The only drawback is its handle which gets heated up and u have to use something to pick it up which is irritating! Cleaning is easy but again u have to oil it. These cons are but fundamental to cast iron products. As a product, it is a great deal!

GREAT Cast Iron, Deep, Large, and it's Lodge! Really can't go wrong!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this pan! First off, I have fallen in love with Cast Iron (CI)!! CI when you take the little bit more time to keep properly seasoned, almost never has food stick. Even then it's really easy to clean. It's wonderful, but if you have a glass top stove you need to be careful to NOT drop it or be rough with it on the glass top. Fantastic with GAS ranges. But, THIS PAN IS DEEP! It's BIG! We do many dishes that we cannot do in the standard 12in. CI pan. It would run over the edge. THIS one we just did spaghetti where we just toss everything in the pan once the ground beef is done. Sauce, Meat, Pasta, all together and it's great. LOTS of room! Yes it's heavier. If weight is a problem for you then this might not work for you. Our "Mexican Lasagna", our Skillet Meatloaf, our Skillet Lasagna, we have room in this pan. Our Shepard's Pie is great to cook up in this partly because we can set it up well in the pan and just slide into the oven! CI is great for that too! Weight is an issue for some people. This pan IS even heavier than the regular 12" CI pan. I personally LOVE the weight because you can stir your stuff and not push the pan around the stove! It stays where you put it! Great for foods that normally stick. My Wife's potstickers require very little effort to pop off the bottom of the pan. Cleanup is easy, and I use either the CI 12in. cover or a 12in. glass cover that fits it from another pan. Never have to scrape food out of a pan anymore.

Absolutley Wonderful Pan
Typical Lodge cast iron cookware quality. Well cast, solid, and as finely finished as they come these days. Does well for frying everything, and the deep walls make it excellent for cooking other dishes as well. Big and heavy, so it takes some time to get the whole pan evenly heated, but once its up to temperature, it stays there and keeps the food cooking at a very even temperature, Good for a slower cook, and helps maintain temperature from shock from throwing in cold ingredients. I use this pan several times a week, often daily, and many times twice a day. Can't think of a negative thing to say about it, the pan and size of the pan are excellent, and Lodge's craftsmanship in and of itself was great.
