I connected the wire assembly to the unit just as a trial run before I added the power wiring. It was easy to understand and the connections were solid. When I went to disconnect the the leads two of the were "stuck" to the lead posts. I couldn't slide them off by hand. I took a needle nose to grab a hold of them and pull them off. Even that was difficult. After I got them off and went to reconnect them the leads/spades would not fit tightly. I was so bummed. I had to use electric tape to keep them in place. I could use a new wire harness thing but doubt if its sold separately. DON'T CONNECT THE LEADS TO THE UNIT UNTIL the power wires are connected. Its working fine and I love the display. Unfortunately the LED light on the toggle will not light up now because of the slight damage to the lead that I had to pull off.

Be careful when installing, this does not have it's own fuse (s) and it should, to protect it and other components that it may be connected to. The wiring is simple by can easily be misunderstood. The switch itself had three male slide prongs connectors, one will be your negative the other two your positive, this particular piece of the four piece panel is the brain and if it is wired wrong it can and will damage the other components. It is not marked ( pos / neg ) and it is the only one of the four that uses the cooper colored prong as it's neg while all three other components use the cooper colored prong as their pos.... My volt meter does not light light up, I am asking for a replacement, hopefully they will provide a replacement part so my unit functions 100% AS IT SHOUD.

Installed in the bedroom of my travel trailer to have 12v charging. Product appears well built and install was a peice of cake. Time saved by not having to make all the jumper wires. Came all pre made. Only problem I have with it is the 12v cigarette charger is too big and very loose when charging. Looses connection easily. Usb is awesome. Knowing voltage is a plus for a camper.

I used it as a charging port in my RV. Previously, there was no way to charge anything in the back of the coach unless I was running the generator or plug into the onshore.Now I can charge just about anything while l’m in bed. If I I see that the battery is get low. I throw on the generator for bit and l’m good to go. And the toggle switch is great for saving the battery when not in use. Also, the blue led lighting is a pretty cool night light.

I installed this item as part of an electrical upgrade in a vintage camper trailer. The quality seems good, the volt meter is accurate, and everything is as described. It looks great however the LED light in the switch is a little bright so you may want to consider that when choosing a location for it. Be aware that this unit requires a clear depth behind it of approximately two inches for installation. I didn't think of that and ended up having to change the location.

My first attempt at a portable 12 volt system for HAM radio use. The only thing that will not be in the ammo can is a solar panel. This product is a great way to access the power. I will probably buy several more of these.

I used the product to gain 12v power option in my new camper in conjunction with solar. I had USB only when shore power connected. This allowed me to charge our phones and use other 12v devices when not connected. It was an excellent fit for this and gives a nice finished look where others think my camper came this way. It's would be also great for many other applications too.

I like the whole unit but the blade connectors that were sent with the unit were # 14 gage. To connect the usb, 12v. gauge all together I had to get Y fittings to connect everything up and with everything you should run 12 gage power.
