Lodge L5P3 Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Cookware Muffin/Cornbread Pan

At first sight, one could be forgiven for wondering why on Earth anyone would buy cast iron cookware: it is very expensive (Lodge is probably the finest make around), requires proper maintenance, not too easy to clean (avoid soap, use special stainless steel and/or bristle scrubbers), heavy (curtains if it falls on your foot), lacks protection from heat (no rubber handles, exercise great caution when hot) - and brittle to boot (it can be damaged/broken if dropped onto a concrete floor). But it makes wonderful food, evenly cooked to perfection - no other cookware achieves this to such a degree. And if looked after properly, they can last, quite literally, for a hundred years. No jokes - once you've cooked with them, you'll find yourself replacing all your other pots and pans - I now have well over a dozen saucepans, Dutch ovens, frying pans, skillets and so forth.

These are really tiny, I didn’t return them however cos I’m a huge fan of Lodge cookware. Hence thot of keeping them for mini muffins

These muffin moulds are tiny!!!And there is barely any gap between two moulds! I like my muffins a bit puffed, but this pan doesn't allow it.I got miniatures with the sides sticking to each other.

The wrong item was delivered: a small frying pan instead of a muffin pan.

Me encantó, prepare con una receta de pasteles, y enharine y engrase el molde y lo hornee por 30 minutos y me quedaron muy bien, no se pegaron, es cuestión de maña Para desmoldar, las hornee en el horno holandés sobre la estufa a fuego lento. Era lo que esperaba.

These are smaller than a normal muffin tin. The muffins will be bigger than a mini size but smaller than a regular size muffin. Pan is very nice. Heavy and well made. I was just surprised at the small size but will definitely keep it.

Though a little on the small side for Yorkshire puddings, they are much better than standard steel tins. I did a test using both types and the cast iron tin produced much crisper puddings with the same mixture. I bought a second one as six small puddings weren't enough at Christmas. Wish they made a larger version.

Ich habe die Backform heute bekommen.Da ich von Lodge schon andere Produkte habe und diese immer wieder kaufen würde, stelle ich nicht die Qualität in Frage. Diese Form ist tatsächlich etwas rauer, als die anderen Teile von Lodge, die ich bereits besitze. Aber das lässt sich mit ein bisschen Schleifpapier leicht beheben.Woran nichts zu ändern ist, ist die Größe. Ich finde die Mini-Muffins nett, aber das ist nicht, was ich bestellt habe!Der Durchmesser der einzelnen Muffins beträgt am- oberen Rand nur ca. 5.8 cm- am Boden geschätzte 4 cm.- Die Tiefe mit 3,8 cm stimmt.Leider nicht das, was ich gebraucht habe.Werde sie sicherlich verwenden, alternativ zu den kleinen, die ich bereits besitze.Das Backergebnis ist in Gusseisen auch ein anderes.Große Muffinformen brauche ich trotzdem.Der Preis wäre im Verhältnis zu gut gewesen....

This is another good quality cast iron product from Lodge. This pan is for 6 small or mini muffins. If you want to make small muffins with a cast iron pan, this is an excellent product. For standard size muffins or cup cakes, a different product will be a better choice. It works well with small paper baking cups.
