Brain Games - Relax and Solve: Sudoku (Purple) Spiral-bound – March 15, 2017

These are all fairly easy ( the purple book). My used to be math whiz father with dementia loves this book. He will do this for hours. Most of the other ones have a mix of easy and harder (the green book). The large print and spiral bound structure is why I went with this brand in the first place. I love it.I keep buying a new purple book ( at least once a month). because he doesn't know he's doing the same puzzles he did last week. Can't go wrong for about $10 each.

I have never been much of a puzzle person but I am absolutely enjoying this book of puzzles. I like that the pages are large in a spiral bound notebook and the numbers are also large and easy to read. I'm going to be 70 in January and I'll tell you what this is actually helped me remember things a bit easier. No longer am I forgetting what I went into the kitchen for! My one drawback is the fact that the puzzles are not in any type of progressive manner from easy to difficult. Puzzles are jumbled in different no particular order so sometimes it's very difficult to do a puzzle and sometimes it's much easier.

Brain Games has a strange idea of "relaxing", in my opinion. This is just another one of their wonderful multi-level difficulty books, with a relaxing (easy) level, an intermediate level, and a challenging level. Personally, I do not find challenging puzzles "relaxing," but maybe the authors do!

The puzzles are LARGE, one to a page. The puzzles are at beginner level but still challenging due to the layout of the game. One might not see a solution by working one square at a time, but working a row or column and the solution jumps out. Then, sometimes solving a square is easier. Very relaxing.

Puzzles are easy (which is what I wanted as a beginner). Type is big & easy to read. Only issue is several pages are faint from a bad print job. Not horrible just annoying. Had I flipped through at store & seen I would have grabbed another but since only a few, I didn't return.

This book is great, I ordered it the same time I ordered the other one. Still waiting for the other sudoku book to arrive.

As a Stroke Survivor, there are many challenges. I use this particular "Relax and Solve" version of Sudoku to get positive reinforcement on a daily basis. The fact that it is spiral bound allows me to rest it on my lap or a table and use my good hand to comfortably solve each puzzle!
