It is too sweaty to be comfortable even with the under arms zips open. Stays in the car for emergency use. I prefer a more breathable jacket. When it is windy and intermittent showers I wear an older army "smock" made of 100% cotton garberdene. If it is foul weather I wear dual layer 100% cotton Ventile. These are more expensive but worth it for the comfort and cotton jackets are quiet. This softshell is too noisy and feels plasticky although not as noisy as Goretex hard shell clothing.Waited over a month / 6 weeks but jacket didn't arrive. Contacted seller to send replacement which arrived 3-4 weeks hence. Discovered that the skin had a 35mm long cut. It is not apparent and I surmised it was due to someone carelessly opening a large card board box consignment with a sharp knife instead of with a box opener. It was just too much trouble to pack it all up, take it to PO for returning after such a long wait since initial order; just have to remember not to use this supplier in the future.

Bought for hubby for Christmas, he loves the amount of pockets, glad a bought a size bigger though!

Despite a loose fit and the zippered vents, this jacket does not ‘breath’. Found it to be very clammy and uncomfortable for even moderate activity. Save yourself 20 quid and wear a bin liner instead.
