Can't say enough about this ESC. It's awesome. Very sufficient. Runs very cool in hot temperatures. Usually when test the temperature It's about 110 degrees the most, and I'm bashing it hard in hot temperature. Excellent product.

The important thing to know about this controller is that there must be at least three Lipo cells in series for it to initialize.My Lipo batteries use XT60 connectors and I got a set of males and females prewired and tinned from Amazon. It took all of five minutes to wire up and a few seconds to calibrate. This is a POWERFUL ESC. I converted a Thunder Tiger Mirage Pro buggy from a nitro .21 engine to a Hobbywing brushless motor. It MOVES! VERY happy with this purchase!I emailed customer support and they immediately got back to me and their answers got me up and running. Very pleased with Hobbywing!

Stock ESC in my Xmaxx went up in smoke for no apparent reason. Scooped one of these to pair with the stock motor. Fits perfectly into the chassis. I like having the additional tunability and seems to give a small power boost. I’m sure a Max5 would be a different beast, but I would still buy the Max6 over the Max5 again.

I bought this and the Spektrum Firma 1250kv motor. I connected both of them to new car a few weeks later. I took the car out to my backyard to make sure everything was working correctly, and it was cogging very badly. I was new to the hobby, so I thought it wasn't getting enough voltage. I ordered a cap pack and then about another month or 2 got around to connecting it. It still had the same problem. I took it to a local hobby shop and they said it was either a bad motor or esc but they couldnt tell without connecting a known good one to make sure and to me to swap in my old one when I got home. They did tell me that they had been getting A LOT of the MAX6's recently with the same problem and to start there. I made a ticket about the problem on Amazon right after that. Winter was starting and I had to start working 80 weeks so I wouldnt be able to get to working on my car for awhile but I had that ticket put in so I thought I was safe... After a few months went by, I finally got around to swapping in my old ESC and the car worked perfect. I contacted Amazon and they told me to go to Hobbywing website. I did and now they tell me I have 2 options, to keep my defected ESC and pay another $150 (mind you its only $160 to start with) and they will send me a new one or option 2, pay to send the defected one back along with another $130 and they will repair that one. So basically close to $300 for possibly a good ESC... DO NOT BUY, BUY CASTLE CREATIONS INSTEAD. They are MUCH higher quality anyways and I'm sure they will not have to basically buy a whole new one to replace one that was broken from the start.

This is one of the best esc's on the market, I have 5 of them, beast!!!

So after the first esc failure you tell me your not going to honor my warranty, because I purchased this esc from amazon, sold by you and shipped by you? I don't understand this. Your the makers and you exempt yourself from your warranty? How is this possible? Now a second ESC has failed me, and I'm out of this money. Got this and ran 2 pacs till it caught fire contact the company and they want you to spend more money to ship it all the way to California not worth the money
