Eagerly awaited since it’s publication was announced earlier in the year this collection of Alex Ross’s Marvel work does not disappoint. Page after page it is a sumptuous extravaganza of beautiful artwork showcasing Ross’s unique style in his classic interpretations of Marvel’s heroes. The book is a thing of exquisite beauty, exuding quality and is more than worth it’s £22.75 cover price {especially considering it was listed at £35.00 when I first put my order in.}Similar in format, it acts as a companion piece to ’Mythology,’ {and to my mind exceeds} the earlier collection of his DC work {and to a lesser extent ‘The Dynamite Art of Alex Ross.’} Informative and beautifully designed this heavyweight volume will sit with pride on my bookshelf and for admirers of his work is a thing of rare joy.

This book could be even better if the pages were all printed at their original art sized but beyond that, this is just a perfect book to be looked at over and over. The art covers a vast range of his story telling such as the Marvels and also the Earth-X etc period and his zillions of covers. Totally recommend. How does he get the time to produce all these masterpieces ?? I especially loved the short story of the Sinister Six as well as a spread of the Iron Man vs Sub Mariner (from one of my favourite comics)

Alex Ross.. what can one say,he delivers stunning images of marvels greatest charecters, in a realistic style that mesmerising..love the guys work and he's a traditionalist, painting the classic look of ditto,kirby,Adams,etc...recommended very highly.James haward

As always, excellent service from Wordery and an amazing book of Alex Ross art. Just finished reading, an inspiring insight of the progression of Alex Ross. From child to professional artist. I've been a Marvel fan all my life and this guy is the best. He brings the heroes to life like no-one else can, making them truly believable. The detail in all of Alex's art is painstakingly breathtaking. Thank you.
