ב"ה It is a nice expansion to the game
ב"הIt is a nice expansion to the game. There are new spells and 2 new versions of 2 mages, anew warlord and a new warlock. To use the new warlord properly, you should have Forcemaster Vs Warlord expansion too. The new mages feel a bit more specialized than their older versions, which means they are probably a little better in their area of speacialization (and have cool new abilities in these areas), but on the other hand they are a but less versatile (because something have to balance it).Now to more specific revirws of the two mages themselves:THE ADRAMELECH WARLOCK:More oriented toward demons and fire builds. With flame +1 to every enemy with a revealed curse, the ability to move burn condition markers between creatures and her demons healing every time the damage an enemy creature with burn tokens as abilities, you will probably see more firebrand imps, flaming hellions and adramelech in use.The strategy of casting a mana crystal and moving 2 zones on the first turn and then summoning adramelech on turn 2 is much more atractive with this version of warlock, since a curse on the enemy will cause him flame +1 whaich will make adramelech's attacks stronger, and if they will have burn markers on them then adramelech will also heal itself. The warlock also got a new helmet that grant melee +1 while attang an object with a burn condition to all the demons it control. The Adramekech warlock could defenetly swarm demon (especialy flaming ones) better than the good old Arraxian Crown warlock, and is better with it fire spells. It also start the game with 5 less life than the Arraxian Crown warlock (only 33 instead of 38), so it isn't game breaking or something. So you basicly have to use demons and fire attacks (with a few curses) to be effective with the Adramelech warlock (and you definitly become quite effective), so it is a little less versatile than Arraxian Crown warlock who could do quite well with goran/necroprian vampiress strategies of buffing your mage and hitting with him strategies. It also mean that she is more vulnerable to elemental cloacks and dragonscale hauberks that give flame -2, so remember to bring your explode spells with you (paired with a minor curse or a seeking dispel to take care of nullify in the case of a face down enchantment on enemy mage).ANVIL THRONE WARLORDUIn this expansion, what made warlords more competitive is m,ainly the new war spells, and not the new mage. There are new outposts, new soldiers and new warlord equipment, and they improve both warlords very much. While both warlords favor soldiers as creatures, the Anvil Throne warlord also specialize in equipment build. The Anvil Trone warlord have different battle orders and replace the Bloodwave warlord's melee+1 and vetens abilities with tough-2 and unesmithing. Runesmithing allow the Anvil Trone warlord to make the equipment he use more powerfull.Overall, it is a nice and interesting expansion.

I love mage wars and this is an amazing expansion. Make sure you have Forcemaster vs Warlord expansion before picking this one up.

Two variations of existing mages, plus lots of useful spells for these and other mages
This expansion includes alternative versions of the Warlock (which was originally released in the base Mage Wars Game) and the Warlord (which was originally released in the Mage Wars Forcemaster vs. Warlord Expansion Board Game. In addition to the two new mage cards and their corresponding ability cards, the expansion includes 158 spell cards. There are 41 different spells, with multiple copies of each spell card so you can have multiples of each spell when applicable.Like it's predecessor, the Warlock is trained in the Dark and Fire schools (and Holy spells cost triple). Once per round after her action phase she can move a Burn marker from one object to another object in in the same zone (up to two zones away). She also has "Smoldering Curses," which gives enemy creatures with a curse she controls Flame +1. Finally, she has "Demonic Reward," which allows demons that damage an enemy with a burn token to heal one damage once per round.Like it's predecessor the Warlord is trained in the War and Earth schools (and Arcane spells cost triple). He has the "Runesmithing," which allows him to pay 1 mana to attach a Rune token to his equipment (this token can be used to make an opponent pay 2 extra mana to destroy that piece of equipment). He also has "Battle Orders," which once per round allows him to cast a quick command spell that gives one of the following to all friendly soldiers in his zone: Piercing +2, Fast, or Armor +1 and Tough -2. Finally, he also has the Tough -2 trait. On the one hand, I liked the original Warlock and Warlord quite a bit, and I would rather have gotten new mages than different versions of existing mages (the reasons for 4 rather than 5 stars). On the other hand there are lots of new spells in this set making it a worthwhile addition in general, and for any Warlock or Warlord in particular. Plus, it's always nice to have variety (especially since this also strengthens some of the previously weaker schools), and what's included will increase the games replayability even further.

A Must Buy
A great expansion to Mage Wars. It adds a new fire mage and a new warlord mage. If you like Mage Wars this is a must buy. You get two new mages and new cards that are awesome.

Very good expansion for the game
Very good expansion for the game. It brings the Warlord to life from being possibly the worst Mage to in the top half of the mages. and the spells that accompany the Warlock, just make her even more dangerous.

I really thought the magnetic clip box is better than the other expansions available
This expansion requires most of the cards required to create a female warlock and dwarf war master. I really thought the magnetic clip box is better than the other expansions available.
