I ran this through my 115 hp boat motor yesterday. It is a 2018 with 196 hours on it and I am the second owner. I have owned the boat for about 4 years now and have not done this yet, so it was time. The kit includes all the hoses and connections that I needed and a very nice pump. The instructions were OK but I feel they could have been clarified a little better on having the motor running. I was confident that was the case but it would have been nice for it to be mentioned. It would have been nice to have a chart for the mixture directions and the bottle states it will be yellow if not enough mixture is added and red when it is correct. If you use the bucket it comes in, it is difficult to tell the color for sure since the bucket is green. Overall it contains what is needed and the pump feels like a very nice product. I only run my motor in freshwater and it is still fairly new in my mind so I didn't see any real dirty output but it was nice to be done. For the price, it would be nice if it came with the larger bottle of descaler but at least you end up with all the tools to do it on a regular basis.

if i didn't use it i would defiantly return it!i received the box and went through the items that came with it, one after the other i noticed that they are all of poor quality, even the bucket is inferior to the ones you get in home depot.the pump is a vane pump, and its doesn't work well unless its fully submerged, i tried the other adapters that came with is to use it as a transfer pump, super hard to prime and get a good flow.the descaling solution is not as good as other in the market, i did the following experiment:i tried it on a 2 caterpillar engines with same hours, on one i used the descale from this kit and on the other i used a generic salt away. no difference between the two, so nothing special that worth the extra money.if you would buy all this items individually you will be saving about 100 dollars.hope it helps

This Universal Marine Descaler Kit is pretty expensive compared to some of the other kits out there, however there is something to be said about it all being made in America. I think that is something worth supporting when you can. What I think is really great about this kit is the fact that it tells you, by changing colors, when you need to add more solution to the mixture. That is an awesome feature that I think is brilliant. The pump is a heavier duty diaphragm pump for these types of projects. It helps to feed the solution through the water cooler system. It immediately starts to go to work. I think that it’s a great marine descaler kit, and I like to support “made in the USA” products whenever they’re available.

This works well but I haven't done a price comparison, it may be a little overpriced. Do your research before ordering.

This Mainstream Marine Universal Marine Descaler Kit | Includes Multi-Purpose Descaling Cleaning Solution, Mixing Bucket is what I would call a "solution in a bucket."Works with the included pump to flush, and the chemicals will change color once adequate descaling has been achieved.The chemicals worked very well - pleased with that; and the pump was easy to set up and use. Will only need to purchase the chemicals in the future.Things running much better now. Can recommend this "solution in a bucket" if you're dealing with a lot of scale and aquatic life in your boat.

This is the best solution that I have used on my jet ski. It gets my jet ski so clean as if it is brand new.I highly recommend it to anyone that likes taking care of their water crafts!!
