Cherry Fruit Pies (Pack of 8)

A bit expensive, but what do you expect? You ordered it online. The convenience is worth it to me. Product was fresh and as tasty as I recall, although there some sort of slightly bitter aftertaste. Not enough to prevent me from ordering in the future. BUY IT!!!!!

Arrived

I used to eat these 20 years ago, at least once a week, and they were amazing. They used to taste like fruit and the crust was not entirely made of sugar, just mostly. I ate one after it arrived today and had to drink a large glass of water to get it down. There were only 2 pieces of cherry inside and the only "flavor" the entire thing had was "chemical sugar". There is a metallic aftertaste, and I regret finishing it, as I now feel ill. I am a sugar fan, I put too much sugar on things, and these are totally gross. I will be leaving the rest of the boxes on the corner for the vagrants. These were never "healthy" before, but they are not even remotely close to the same product I used to enjoy.

With this horrendous Covid-19 Virus Crisis it is many time difficult to get out to shop at the bargain big box stores for our favorite food etc. This has forced me to go on line to order the vast majority of the things I need. One of my favorite brands of snacks is Hostess cakes of all kinds. I like almost everything they produce and when I saw this product (Hostess Fruit Pie, Cherry pie, 8 in inside individual 4.25 boxes) on Amazon I decided to purchase it. I was impressed with the very quick service receiving them in about 2 days; however, they were not in any way bargain priced ($14.86) at about $1.85 for each one. With this new “normal” one has to adjust with the times and begin looking at things in a new and different way. You must now pay for convenience as the products are delivered to your door in a fairly short period of time. In any case, if you are seeking a delicious cherry fruit pie you may want to check out this and other similar products on Amazon if you cannot get them at your local store. Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. I was very disappointed by the quality of these. They were almost soggy and didn't taste right. In the garbage they went.

Great

The product was not like the Hostess fruit pies I was used to. The pies were rather flat and the fruit filling was old and chewy. Perhaps they were stored incorrectly.
