Clean Dirty Magnet for Dishwasher, Large Slide Dishwasher Indicator with Strong Sticky Tab Adhesion, Water Resistant Design Endurance Reminder Dishes Clean or Dirty (Black)

This item was purchased for my parents, Christmas of 2018, yes just a few days ago. The sign falls off the magnet ALL the time crashing to the floor. This may be fluke but try a different brand. Very unhappy with the quality.

I have a stainless front dishwasher, magnets don't stick to stainless very well so I had to use the 2 round foam adhesive pads that came with for install. This is a little larger than expected, but there's no excuse to say "I didn't see it". Wife wanted one so we would know if dishes needed put up if someone grabs something out of the dishwasher without putting things up. Purchased in silver which blends in okay with the stainless.

This magnet looks great on the front of my dishwasher. It comes with sticky tabs for those that don't have metal on the dishwasher for the magnet. Very helpful to me because my husband forgets to see if the dishwasher has been ran indicating clean dishes and he tends to put dirty dishes into the dishwasher with the clean resulting in having to re-wash the load.

The issue with the one I got is that it slides by itself which makes this thing pretty useless since you can't tell if it reads dirty or clean. There doesn't seem to be any mechanism that holds the slider in place. Solution? had to design and 3D print a latch then used 3M tape to hold that latch in order to get this thing to work properly. I've never opened it up, but if you did I think you could somehow create friction in order to get the slider to stay...but that's too much work. Just get a different one.

Thought I'd have to use the adhesive tabs to make it stick, but it (magnetically) stayed on our dishwasher! Also, I was concerned w/reviewers' comments of slide door moving unintentionally, but they seem to have corrected that. Works perfectly!

Works as advertised! Nice and clear! Only downside is that the sliding door slides a bit too easy so it's easy to get knocked into the middle and then you're not 100% certain about just what state it's in.If there could be a bit of locking recess at the ends or somethign that would help!

I LOVED this when I saw a friend with one and thought it was an obvious need. However, the sliding piece is so loose, that just barely touching up against the sign, moves the sliding piece. Atop my dishwasher on the counter are other appliances (limited counter space), so I stand in front of the dishwasher door often where this signs is adhered, this thing slides side to side so easily that just my shirt brushing against it will move it from clean to dirty and so forth to where it sadly doesn’t serve its purpose. I’m trying to figure out a ‘fix’ for it to make it have more resistance to move because I love the idea of not having to open the door to ‘check’. For now, I moved this lower than halfway down the door to try to avoid contact with it.
