Some of the reviews were a bit negative so I have to be honest I was a little wary, but thought that worst case scenario I could send them back for a refund.I've got big feet - depends on the brand but 12.5 usually - and really struggle to get shoes that fit. It's rare that shoe shops actually have my size in stock.The fit is as expected - I ordered size 13 as there is no 1/2 size and I've put a comfort shoe liner in (made by Scholl and bought as a 3 pack through Amazon). That suits me down to the ground, but the shoe doesn't actually need any assistance in the comfort stakes.I am amazed by the quality. I have spent double the amount of money and been disappointed recently.I must be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but I'm blown away.The leather is quite thick and I'm expecting to have to wear them in - I've been wearing them for the last 8 hours and am wondering if I'll get blisters - so far so good.I've only had them for a day or so, so it's possible I could edit this review later, but so far I'm really impressed and would definitely buy them again.

These shoes fit perfectly. The upper portion of the shoes is actual leather and the soles have a thin layer of leather too, but too much walking will wear this away to show a man-made compound but this shouldn't be too much of a problem if you don't do much walking in them. Most office workers I know keep there shoes at work and walk to and from in trainers anyway.The shoes look exactly like it is shown in the pictures. For this price point, these shoes are great value for money and it would be very difficult to locate a similar quality pair at such a low price. I'm considering buying myself a second brown pair to match grey trousers too.

Just got these shoes and delivery was very quick. They look good but somehow not as good as the brogues which I bought previously. They are very solid thick leather and I anticipate some time and possibly pain before they adjust to my feet but I had planned for that and will wear them around the house for a while and ten short walks. I think this quality leather with leather soles is a good price my only negative comment is don't plan to walk long distances in these soon after purchase unless you have steel feet. This shoes need to be work in gently.

Excellent shoes, prompt delivery. I have bought about twelve pairs over the years and will continue to do so. I used to buy Loakes and Barbours but since finding Clifford James I have become something of a devotee. They are fabulous quality, shine to a military mirror finish and wear extremely well. I have tried the brogues which are also great, just a little fancy for a simple guy like me. That saying, two pairs of Chelsea boots are my next purchase as a compliment to the dapper personna that I am tentatively cultivating. At these prices I am exceedingly pleased.

The shoes are cheap and look smart, so they are useful to buy in bulk for work. But they fall apart very quickly and are pretty uncomfortable. The heel comes away from the shoe (it’s glued on) and the sole wears down and gets holes in within a two or three months of regular wear.

i bought these as my Barker shoes need repairs and will be away for a few weeks. I am pleased to report that these are good quality leather shoes and are excellent value. They are stiff and will take a bit of wearing in, but this should be expected for leather shoes. However they are comfortable to wear out of the box. Don't let the low price put you off, these are a great buy.

I bought these shoes for work. I wore them the first day expecting to have to break them in. I took my previous shoes just in case I had to change part way through the day. I actually ended up wearing them all day with no problems at all. Very well made shoes at a great price. Arrived promptly and will definitely buy from Clifford James again.

Good looking on. But the upper leather is very hard after two weeks wearing they are still really tight and un forgiving. Tired feet at end of day
