APPRENTICEEQ Edwards Apprentice EQ - MM Only Phono Pre-amplifier

Started with the most popular and respected £50 box and was left uninspired, so I read around and for still less than £100 read some glowing reviews of this in the hifi critics magazines. This Edwards Audio Apprentice will do me absolutely fine - doing an A/B, in terms of tonal balance really not dissimilar to Quobuz through a Yamaha WXAD-10, but with the added pleasure of playing my old records. British made. What on earth is 'sheerness'?!

I needed a new phono pre-amp and, after reading reviews, chose the Edwards.It's a lovely little thing and does the job beautifully, it even has a "power on" LED on the front to remind me to use the on-off switch on the rear when I've finished listening.

Instant, defined improvement over the internal phono stage of my Onkyo A-9010.Clear, wide, rich sound from this discreet wee box. Can't complain about anything at the price.
