'Silent' is just a plain lie
After reviewing just about every air pump on the market, I chose this, thinking with the reviews and description it would be near enough silent. I don't write reviews very often but it really is a case of modern marketing lies. It is not silent. No where near. I would class it as marginally less noisy than the much larger and older air pump I have - which is super noisy. As it was bought for a tank that sits next to my office desk it needed to be near enough silent... Who of us casually carries a meter to read what 35 decibels is? Either way - it remains turned off. I wouldn't buy an air pump at all unless you absolutely have to have one, which is a shame, because sponge filters are good. Why someone cant come up with a product that is housed in a sound deadening case is beyond me! My advice: put plants in your tank and create water flow to oxygenate it... And if you want a sponge filter - use a pump head to power it like on Aquael Turbo Filters.

Air pump
I needed a quiet air pump to run a small sponge filter in a 25 litre shrimp tank. This is perfect. It's not noisy, sticks well to the glass and has been running my pump for over a week with no issues. Would recommend if you want something quiet for a small tank.

Works as advertised, for now!
Bought for a stylish but small, round mini aquarium in which we keep 2 small fish.The stone is easy to install and does a great job to keep the water oxygenated, it also keeps the dirt a little better under control (but the water still needs weekly changing of course, just looks cleaner) and the whole thing is easy enough to clean and maintain. Plenty of bubbles, certainly enough and the fish are happy. It's not whisper quiet but it's fine for us, acceptable noise level in a dining room, wouldn't want in a home office as too distracting (though maybe one would get used to it).4 starts for now until I've got a better sense of how well this lasts.

Really pleased
I really love these airpumps. This is the 3rd one now that I purchased to replace airpump on another tank. (Yes, I have multi fish tank syndrome) They are really quiet. My boys haven't complained once since I replaced the airpumps in their room. I'm testing the new one out on a sponge filter in a new tank I'm busy cycling. So far so good.

Does the job
The pump works well creating a lot of bubbles definitely increasing oxygen in the tank. The actual pump is pretty much silent but of course the bubbles do make some noise so it does create a bit of a rain sound. Its also easy to assemble.

Aquarium Air pump
Very small compact low power air pump.Quiet, you almost don't notice it's on.Huge air stone for dispersal of bubbles.Purchased to support baby fish in a small nursery tank.Ideal, helps oxygenate water and also gives movement, the baby fish loved it.

Great little pump
I got this for male Betta tank because he doesn't like high flow filters and it is a great little product that's perfect for his 22l tank.Super quiet and sticks onto the side of the tank without ever falling off.The only complaint would be that the suction cup clips are too thin for the hose, but I ended up using them for another airpump that has thinner airlines, so it wasn't a huge loss.

Super bit of kit
This is a super little pump. Everything you need is included. The pump itself is barely audible. All we can hear is the bubbles from the airstone. The fish are loving it; especially one of the Corys who is constantly playing diving down and floating back up. Highly recommended.
