Fun
Assembly was a challenge! No user manual, had to search YouTube and the Internet to find meaning of error numbers, using the control display, etc. But once I finally got it together and running properly I simply love it. Lots of fun to ride!

Its all that I need.
Shipping was good. Assembly was no problem. But I've been working on my own bikes most of my 78yo life. And I've been riding recreationally forever. I've been riding a 24spd Mongoose Mountain Bike for 30 years. Still have it. But it became tricky to get on and off of when I developed some balance issues and went on blood thinner. So I researched adult tricycles. And this is what I came up with. It's a 26" with traditional style (my preference). It has disc brakes for downhill safety and 7 speeds for uphill off-road to road riding. It is well constructed and has good customer service reviews. At first, I thought I had made a mistake. It was scary, at first. And the seat took a while to get adjusted for my comfort. I got on an unpaved road with uneven shoulders. I went back and forth on it, gradually increasing the balance challenges until I was comfortable. If I hadn't done that, I probably would have given up on trikes, like other people I know have. As I learned to use its features, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance on beaches and off road. It's a decent trail trike. The tires are adequate with good tread for off-roading. I got the front wheel e-drive for safety purposes to get me home if I have fatigue or medical issues while out riding. But it also helps make deeper sand and off-road riding manageable. I seldom use it for normal road rides because I need the exercise. The standard front light wasn't up to my liking and it had no rear lights. I added lights, including a rear flasher, mirrors, turn signals. It has a loud horn but I added a less obnoxious trail bell. And a cell phone holder for my my bike and trail apps, and a handlebar bag for tools, tire pump, water, etc. I have very much enjoyed riding the trike. It's a bit slower on the road than a road bike. But it's as fast as I need to be going. It will pull itself at 15mph. I've seen 27mph downhill but I don't recommend it. 15 is a comfortable road speed. I usually pedal at 5-15 mph but I can do more on level roads. This trike is priced on the low end because it's just a standard trike with electric assist added. I saw no need to pay extravagant amounts for a dedicated e-trike or a differential rear axle. This trike fills my needs. I may add a larger crank chain ring some day for higher speeds with less pedaling. But, for now, I'm happy.
