Works well with the butane cans that we purchase at the local Asian market. The heat and adjustment are largely dependent on how much fuel is left in the cannister, but the adjustment works fine and you can see the flame as you tune.The lighter locks in securely and I don't hear any hissing/smell much leakage, but I'm always cautious anyway. The unit does get pretty hot with lots of use, so I generally practice extra caution when handling.Great little tool for camping trips, too.

I love the cute little torch for painting projects. However, make sure you purchase the right butane canister. I have ordered three of the wrong type of fuel attachments.

Great item. I use it in all the scenarios in the description. After numerous uses, torch stop lighting. I had sparks and fuel but no flame. I reached out to seller for further assistance. They sent me a new one. Ready for summer BBQ.

Tried this torch with three different butane cans none would attach. The first was too large around the butane nozzle and the others fit but the lock mechanism wouldn't hold the can securely. Ended up ordering a different torch entirely. Cannot speak to the actual quality of the torch as I never got it to function.

This has been a great addition to my kitchen. I like to sous vide steak, and this is a quick and easy way to char. Flame control and ease of use is fantastic. I would highly recommend.
