Warmer OK, But Wax Sub Par
The wax that comes with this, just doesn’t work for well, it’s hard to apply (quite stringy), and dries so fast it’s very hard to work with, especially on yourself. The warmer does a good job of warming, but is very hard to clean, and doesn’t seem to set at a stable temperature, as it kept veering between too hot and letting the wax re-harden.If you’re an expert self waxer, you can probably work around these issues, but spending a little money for better warmer and more professional wax is probably a good investment.

Hair removal warmer kit
It is important I mention that I am a licensed esthetician and I have been trained on hair to professionally perform hair removal. I wanted to have a hair removal machine at my home that I can use only on myself. This kit came with everything one needs to start waxing. I use it for brazilian waxing and touch up waxing on other various parts of the body.Machine is easy to use. Since I do waxing on myself, some special accommodations need to be made. Laying down protection on the floor and strategically placing mirrors so I can catch every angle an not miss a spot. It is challenging to perform any form of waxing on oneself. I must report that I was very happy to use this kit and i was able to complete brazilian waxing and arm waxing without any issues. One can easily find replenishment supplies (wax, sticks, etc.) at the beauty stores such as Sally's or online. If used at home, this machine may be too much if you are planning to use it just fro waxing eyebrows. It is worth having it if one is doing "big" jobs such as waxing legs, underarms, etc. This machine is just fine for using in a salons that offer waxing as a service but are not too busy. The waxing container is small so it may take time to melt it. For busy salons, this machine either will not do it, or they will need to have multiple machines.

Light duty, home use. Unscented wax.
First, I'm glad the title said "for women men" because otherwise I wouldn't have let my husband use it on his unibrow. (I'm getting tired of all the items using titles as if they were keyword lists)This is a light weight build, but I think probably sufficient for home use. It melts decently and keeps close to temp. I'm not sure having such a large range of temps is needful, but that's a small non-issue.The issues I have are:- The knob is small, as in doesn't stick up much from the base. It's difficult to grip for those with any mobility issue.- The mark on top of the knob is at least half an inch different than the actual position. Ok, not a huge deal, but annoying.- The handle on the inside wax bin is very flimsy and mine keeps coming off if I do try to lift it out.I could wish the tax bin was a tad larger, but only because I love doing wax treatments on my hands. It feels so nice to my old arthritic joints. The wax it came with had no scent, I'm glad to say. I wondered about that before I requested it, so figured I'd mention. All in all, it's still a 4 star for me, for my home use. Oh, and the separate lid for the wax bin was a welcome touch. It seals better than the big green lid, being a multi-pet house.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Somewhat effective
This is the second brand she tried, and it's about as effective as the other was. It sort of works.Sometimes it gets things out the first try. Other times it takes another attempt or two in order to get things smooth. But this one seems a bit inconsistent with the heat setting. Same spot on the dial can give different temps at different times. Which can be a bit of a shocker depending on how sensitive the area your'e waxing is.So your mileage may vary. But it's at least inexpensive enough to make it less of a risk to try if you're curious and haven't had one at home of your own.

Kelley Clarkston, Kelley Clarkston!
This item did not work as advertised or as the directions said it would. I got this mostly for my eyebrows so I don’t have to go to the hairdresser to get them done at $14 a pop. I thought it would be great for my legs too. My sister asked me if she could use it on her husband’s back. Since I just got my eyebrows done two weeks ago, I let them try it first. After I saw the pictures, I am glad I did not put this on my face. The directions said it would take 15 to 30 minutes to heat up the beads at a medium setting. It did not. The beads were still beads after an hour. The heat was turned up all the way and they finally melted. It was way too hot so they put it down to 160 degrees so it would not burn her husband's skin. My sister said the Popsicle sticks were useless. Unlike having waxing professionally done, this did not have parchment paper to stick several times to get all the hairs off. She said it was either too gooey or too solid on top of it smelling like burnt plastic. The gooey was like the hot strings that burn you on a hot glue gun. You can see from the pictures that the solid pieces that came off were just like plastic, see picture. It was a hard plastic and nothing like what Master Cuts uses. The beads it comes with were only enough to do the top part of his back, see picture. Again, from the pictures, this is not something you should put on your face or back, or anywhere else. The picture of his back is what all the beads would cover before it ran out. The pieces that you see on his back had to be rinsed off in a hot shower because the wax is not like the kind professionals use.The Amazon page says any part of your body, even the delicate areas. It says it is painless. It is not soothing and painless. How the FDA approved it, I will never know.
