Carving Boots and Shoes with Larry Green

I am a beginning woodcarver, one of the first pieces most people start to carve are boots and the instructions that come with the beginner sets are pretty vague. This book I found to be excellent !! Every page has color photos of the step by step carving of boots and shoes, even baby shoes !! I do not hesitate to recommend this book whole heartedly !! Diana

This book has very clear instructions to match the pictures in each step while learning to carve these boots/shoes. I'm still carving the cowboy boots so that I can get a good feel for them and not need the book any more. I plan to 'gift' family and friends with my efforts depending on their work and leisure activities. Excellent resource book for any carver. Amazon is my 'go to' book source as they usually have the best prices and great service in delivery.

i carve boots, but i am limited. i got this for different ideas. i found many of them here. green leaves his boots less "finished" than i do, but that is just a matter of chocolate vs. vanilla. good book.

I have made a few of the items in this book and it was very easy to follow along with. Good photos and good explanations. A great book to have in your wood carving book and magazine collection.
