Q: Are the case sides recessed full length down both sides, lower than the glass face? Is the glass not protected full length down both sides?

If I understand your question...the case is raised about a 16th of an inch all around. Same with protection on cameras on the back It's a light case and protective as well since I've dropped it a few times without damage

It is definitely wireless charging compatible. Works well with all Qi chargers in my inventory, including power banks with built Qi chargers.

Q: does it have built in screen protector?

That's not correct..the S21 does not come with a screen protector
