Wolf Brand Chili with Beans 15oz Can (Pack of 12) (Spicy) I just ordered my second case of Wolf's chile, the spicy kind, this time; but I won't be buying it again. I bought it so that I could compare it side-by-side with my Campbell's chile, but the shipping cost makes it prohibitive. For 12 cans, the cost is $29.99 plus $19.99 for shipping. That ls $49.99, which is a little more than $4.00 per can. Too much for a can of chili, in my opinion. I might add that I have reviewed both Campbell's and Wolf's chile in the past. They're both good.January the 3rd. update. I've been comparing Wolf Brand SPICY chili with Campbell's Chili with beans (Firehouse) for over a week, and when it comes time to reorder, Wolf Brand won't make the cut. Wolf Brand is hot enough to satisfy most people, but I have to disqualify it because it's too pasty. I wouldn't call it a sauce, but it just doesn't have the texture and mouth-feel that I expect from a bowl of chile. It would probably go very well with rice, but by itself, it just doesn't satisfy. I'm no cook, so I don't know why it is the way that it is, but my guess is that it's just overcooked. Either that, or it is stirred too much or too harshly while being made. I'm still looking for the perfect chile, but Campbells' will do until something better comes along.

The chili was very good but a little watery after it was heated up. could use a little more meat

Wolf brand spicy chili with beans advertises beef and pork as the primary ingredient on its label. I sure would like to know where it was in the can I tried. I couldn't tell whether it was micro size particles of meat on my pallet or the also listed rolled oats filler. At least it isn't labeled as Chili Con Carne.To address the spicy element, I can tell you that there is little here to offend a dining geriatric. Spicy is a word like zesty. It means nothing, as the late comedian George Carlin pointed out in one of his routines.This was my first taste of Wolf Chili. Needless to say, I'm not off to a good start.
