Just perfect.
I use my George Forman for bacon, sausage ,steak , onions, beefburgers,, fish fingers in batter. It grills them beautifully, and no mess and easy to clean. One thing I wish it had a timer, however considering I like to turn over and check how the cooking is going I really dont mind . Great price . I paid £35 from Amazon. I have since seen it in Sainsburys for £59 while 15 steps away in the instore Argos it is £35 . Worth walking them few steps folks .

quick and easy way to healthy food
This is my third George Foreman grill over the past 10 years. It is fair to say that I am a big fan. I find them very quick and easy to cook on. My standards are home made burgers - they cook to perfection on this within about 12 minutes. I also use it a bit for veggies, char grilled peppers and sweet potatoes - that kind of thing. I just shoogle them up with olive oil and stick them on until the look right. I love char-grilled broccoli with chilli and garlic (blanch the broccoli in boiling water for two mins then dry and toss in in oil with finely chopped chilli and garlic and grill for a few mins turning once), it tastes great, is pretty healthy and really easy to make. My son loves a simple cheese toastie. My last grill was discarded after the plastic top split after many years of use - this one is metal so hopefully wont have that problem. The one before that had to get chucked after it got a bit stinky in a crevice that I could not effectively clean, this one does not have that crevice, but, it is not easy to clean around the hinges. These are 'upstream' of where most to the mess occurs so hopefully it wont be too big a problem - time will tell.

Solid indoor grill at a good price but difficult to clean due to the non-removable plates
This is a nice indoor grill which can save you a lot of cooking time. Originally I ordered it just for chicken breast and vegetables, however, we've also used it to toast bread and grill fish. You can cook a piece of meat in a matter of minutes without having to flip it over and the grill marks are aesthetically pleasing. I looked around quite a lot before making this purchase. This is probably the best performing indoor grill on the market at this price point. There are some negatives though. There is no temperature control so you are stuck with one setting. The grill doesn't get hot enough to achieve a nice sear on a steak before cooking it through. If you like well-done steak that's not a problem but forget about a nice medium-rare. I have seen versions of indoor grills where you can remove the plates for ease of cleaning. They are coated in teflon so the cleaning process is ok. However, I think it would preferable to be able to remove the plates and stick them in the dishwasher. The description suggests that they heat up more quickly because they are not removable but having used grills with removable plates I am not sure this is accurate. Certainly the difference is not great anyway.Having used this product for a few months now I can share a few tips which will mitigate difficulties with cleaning the grill:(1) It's easiest to clean the grill plates immediately after use. If the plates have cooled down with the grease still attached to them it is best to turn the grill on, add some water and close the grill to loosen up the grease before proceeding to clean it off.(2) The plates are coated in teflon so never use metal to get things off the grill. Wooden kitchen utensils only. When cleaning the grill use a sponge only. Once you start scratching the teflon off, not only will it not look as nice but things will stick to it more easily.(3) If cooking salmon on the grill it is a good idea to wrap it in baking paper as it makes cleaning the grill much easier.

5 Star despite some shortcomings
What a device this is. I'm sure everyone knows about these grills by now, I've certainly been eyeing one up for a good while before taking the plunge nd buying this 5 portion grill for what I felt was a great price, under £30.I'll first talk about what I consider to be the items biggest flaw and that is the temperature and how it heats up. So the device heats up the plates to a point and then stops and the residual heat continues to cook the contents. The problem with this is sometimes you just want it to heat/cook and it's in a resting phase. I use the grill for nearly everything and this is a pain for some stuff (eggs!!) I'd rather you could override this but still, I've given 5 starts as for the money it really is an amazing piece of kit. 5 portions it says and that is quite optimistic, yes it'll do 5 sausages but never 5 portions of bacon. But it is so easy to use, is a great healthier alternative to frying with extra versatility. Buy one if you're pondering if it is worth it.

Just Outstanding !
This grill is outstanding! I am now a fan and use it daily. It cooks food quickly and evenly without burning, which is a huge plus. However, after nearly a year of regular use, I have noticed that some of the coating has worn off during cleaning, as removing greasy residue can be a bit challenging. Despite this minor drawback, the grill's performance and convenience make it a worthwhile investment!

Toasted sandwiches - get a George Foreman!
We ordered a Breville Sandwich toaster and it broke in a fortnight. It was also too small and couldn’t deal with toasting two full size sandwiches with crusts on. Pointless product really. We looked at other brands and George Foreman grill kept coming up. For not much more, we bought the middle size and so glad we did. Much better toasted sandwiches. Hinged lid to take big fat ones too - easily does two doorsteps with crusts on. Toasts quickly and brilliantly to the core. And very easy to clean. The bonus is we now grill all our meat and veg on it too... steak, bacon, broccoli, where possible and certainly more eco than using the oven grill. Also, so far, very reliable. Well done GF!!!
