Naamah and the Ark at Night

This book is the perfect bedtime book to help set the relaxed tone for a child's nighttime routine. The pacing of the book is soothing and the pictures add to the atmosphere.

This is a nice poem and story of Noah's wife. The pictures are quite lovely and the poetic form intends to soothe and comfort the reader or listener as Naamah does the same for the passengers of the Ark. A note for the author's note, someone unfamiliar with this potential name for Noah's wife who wouldn't know how to pronounce it learns at the end of the book how to do so. For a first time reader including this information at the start of the book will help them relate to the character better as they will know how to speak her name in their thoughts as they read or aloud if they are reading to others.

I love the book; the illustrations are lovely and the gentle poem is soothing for bedtime. Stars are for the book's content.However, when I make a purchase that is "like new," the last thing I'd anticipate are rips that have been taped (see picture). At best, this should have been "good" or "acceptable." Very irritated.

I have bought this book multiple times to give as gifts to family and friends with small children. It is a lovely bedtime story with a sing-songy cadence to it. And the illustrations are beautiful. All around a lovely book. I highly recommend!

This is one of my one year old son's favorite books, and I love reading it to him. It's a short and lyrical read with gorgeous pictures. My son loves to roar at the lions, kiss them good night and point out all the different animals throughout the book and on the front and back covers.

I love reading this book to my three-year-old granddaughter. It is a peaceful, quiet story, just perfect for bedtime. The story of the origin of Naamah's name is interesting. There are few words tucked into a wonderful rhythm.
