I was really excited for this. Really, really excited. Both the idea and reviews from users were promising and it looked like everything I needed for a great gaming experience on my phone.. and it came so close. I have the ipega 9021 and out of the box I was surprised by how lightweight it was and how loose the D-pad and joysticks felt. I figured oh well, for the price it wouldn't be perfect, so I fired up a SNES emulator and got to business. First up was Chrono trigger and at first I was delighted. The pad paired quickly and after minimal adjustments in the emulator I was good to go. After dinner I came back to try out Super Mario World and started to hit snags; the pad wouldn't connect with my S6 phone despite being paired, and the instruction manuals bad English wasn't helpful. After un- and repairing (Which so far I've had to do for every time I use it) I got to gaming and hit latency issues. Now to be fair I can't really tell whether this is a connection latency or if there's such a big dead zone on the joysticks and mushy button presses that it takes that extra fraction of a second to register, but it was enough to throw off my ability to play any action game like Metroid or Donkey Cong Country (I mostly picked this up to play with emulators).Pros: Inexpensive, mostly works, and the extendable arm to hold the phone is perfectly situated and snug. The multimedia buttons are a great touch, and the battery life is great.Cons: Big dead zones on the joysticks and a very loose D-pad make for laggy responsivness. The inconsistencies with device pairing is annoying enough to be an issue when I have to remove the pairing and reestablish it every time.I wanted to love it, and I could forgive all else if the buttons and sticks were just more responsive.

Great controller for emulators, but I am having trouble getting it to work with Android games. Connects as a keyboard ym so you map keys in the emulator no problem, but Android games aren't meant to be used with keyboards. I would give it 5 stars if I could at least get in touch with the company that makes it, but they are in Chinese and I can't get a number, and three instructions are in broken china English. Other than that it is a great controller, feels great on my hands and holds my big galaxy note 4 with room to spare. For what I use it for it's 5 stars except occasionally it disconnects and reconnects to the bluetooth on my phone. Not sure if it's the phone or the controller because I barely use bluetooth, but I reconnects almost instantly and it rarely interferes with my gaming (I just pull the status bar down and it immediately pauses the game).

So, this thing is a MUST have for gaming on a tablet or phone. However, the manufacturer needs to support it better. Here goes.- The website they send you to doesnt have the proper software for the device. I ended up searching for the files it talks about and finding the APK file i needed - Android Gamepad Assistant. This is the only piece of software you need.- Setting it up is fairly easy, if you follow the instructions that came with it, using the Android Gamepad Assistant software.- Once connected it only works with some android games. ( I am still learning tho but I'm pretty sure I have it all working as best I can)- The reason I purchased this was to use with emulators(on a non rooted S4 Galaxy). I have done this with no issues what so ever. Its amazing. Seriously a must have for emulator gaming. It works with a game called ShadowGun(Android) also. Really enjoy this shooter. I am still looking for more games that it works with.So all in all, if you aren't a complete beginner, I say go for it. And enjoy it. Its comfortable, and just cool.

Do not buy this if you have a galaxy S6 (verizon with updated software).. Not sure why the 3rd party app Android gamepad assistant WILL NOT OPEN!! It will connect and work fine with my galaxy s3 (no cell service).. When I open the program with the s6 the gamepad assistant will show in the task bar but it will not open so you can change the necessary options to enable it on the S6.. It will only connect in KEYBOARD mode which is pointless.. search all over google and there is no help to get this working..Update - Finally got it working on my S6 using the Home key + X, instead of Y like the instructions said.. You dont need any of the 3rd party crap..

I was very unhappy with this controller. Although the controller is in very good condition & feels just like an Xbox360 controller, I ran into a major issue with it. I have an Iphone 5s IOS 8 & this controller was not compatible with my phone at all. The only time it seemed to work was when I tried to type anything it would start randomly typing in letters with every click of a button on the controller. I have a few games on my phone including NDS4IOS but none of the games seemed to work with this controller. If anyone knows how to fix this issue or got it working for them, please contact me @ [email protected].

Purchased this product after ordering the p9017 and liking it so much, decided why not get a bigger control for those with bigger hands when playing multiplayer.This product did not disappoint. Though a little awkward for my hands the feel of it is great. I prefer the analog sticks of the p9017 for controlling stability, but I love that on this one the phone is held up and tilted for a better viewing and playing experience. Wish the p9017 had this feature.There was no issue setting this up on my phone or linux computer, and button feedback is phenomenal.Would definitely recommend to anyone who can't stand the touch controls of an onscreen gamepad.

its works as it should and the directions are clear. the reason that i have given it 4 stars is that it feels like a cheap plastic toy and that the phone holder only lays in a upright position; i wish i could lay it back a little futher. it works great with minimal lag. just have to do some looking around and try out some games that work with controler but over all its a good blu tooth controler
