I purchased this product for the AC power inverter capability. It worked for about 15 minutes. Even when it was working, the push button arrangement was inconsistent. Sometimes a brief button push did the trick, sometimes you had to hold them for a long time. It was never a positive, reliable control interface. After a few minutes of use, the AC outlets stopped working and it showed a constant fault symbol. The instructions said that this means that the fan is blocked or not working. This was not the case, the fan would come on briefly and stop when the fault symbol came on. The device was not overheated, was in open air with full ventilation and had not been in use for more than a few minutes. The draw was measured with an ammeter at 4 amps. At 120 volts, that's 480 watts, which is within the 500 watt rating. In any case, the device did not give any indication that it was overloaded. It just stopped working completely and showed the constant fault. The USB and 12 volt outlets continued to work, so I bought a dc inverter to plug into the dc cigarette lighter to see if that would work. This separate device gave a high voltage warning, meaning that it was being provided with more than 16 volts and was in danger of being damaged.Other than the device being a complete functional failure, the case was sturdy, the handle felt solid and reliable, and it was small and light.

So far, it has performed as described. Easy to carry and store. All outlets and ports are easy to use. A great portable solar generator.

It stopped working, but I let it charge again and it's back to normal.

Had no problem both charging and running several devices (laptops, pads, exyernal drive, mouse, small lantern, phone, and e'dog collar) all at once.
