It took me around 5 minutes to replace this. I live in a hot climate where it’s over 100° right now. I think that definitely helped to loosen up the glue and get the original panel off. Some tutorials on YouTube said to heat it up first with a blow dryer first. I did not have to do that. I did not use the tools that came with it. I just used a knife to remove the original panel. I did mess up the gear shift on the upper right corner a little bit by doing this, but that was my own fault. I’m sure you could avoid damage by using something other than a knife. Just be careful. There’s lots of tutorials on YouTube for this.

Pay attention and get the right size. Use a heat gun or blow dryer to remove the old cover, slap the new one on and you're good to go.

I bought this to replace the old Gear Shift cover that was cracked, because, apparently,BMW likes to use a lot of plastic in their carsAt least in my 2015 320 iXdriveEven the Interior door handles are used with plastic and RUBBER

No issues with quality or fit.Fits in the opening like a glove. Adhesion is very good, very much like OEM.

Somewhat difficult to remove factory installed shift panel, but once removed, new one easy to install.
