This price is for a pair or are sold individually?

These questions/answers appear under multiple items, so the answers are inconsistent. The bookshelf speakers are paired, but the floorstanding speakers and the center channel speakers are sold individually.

What are the size(diameter) of tweeters / midranges / subwoofers ? And do these have passive crossovers inside?

How is the bass to use without subwoofer?

I just spent a couple days measuring these speakers with REW (Room EQ Wizard) with and without the SACS9 subwoofer. In my room, these speakers play below 50hz (although there is a lot of ringing below 200hz). I found the best crossover setting on the back of the subwoofer was at the minimum setting (50hz) and appropriate volume for the room (8-9 o'clock position for my room). Anything higher than that and I'm getting large peaks at the crossover point. Purchase these speakers when they are on sale (I got mine for $88 and the sub for $99) and you will not be disappointed.

I recently purchased the SSCS8 Center and 2 SACS9 subs, Which Sony speakers would be recommended for the Front L&R Surround L&R Back L&R?

Depending on how big of a room your set up will be in. If it's a small room, you can use the Sony SS-B1000 5-1/4-inch Bookshelf Speakers for the front left and right; the side surround left and right; and the rear surround left and right.For a big room, I would recommend the Sony SS-B3000 Bookshelf Speakers for the Front Left and right and then use the Sony SS-B1000 Bookshelf Speakers for the rest of the surrounds. This is the set up that I have in my room and it's 15'x15'. It sounds amazing...

These speakers are good value for the asking price of under AU$150 when purchased. They arrived newly manufactured from Malaysia in perfect condition. They are designed as part of a home theatre set of speakers so you may need a subwoofer for a strong base. I use them as stand alone bookshelf speakers for my Sony HAP S1 player and they provide a crisp authentic sound.

Mon premier achat "reconditionné". Etat extérieur , de légers coups, pour le reste absolument comme neuf. son HYPER directif, faut vraiment bien les placer et configurer son installation. Une fois tout cela mis en place. A vous les joie de l'Atmos et autres spatialisations. Parfait pour mon utilisation.

Lo compré para reemplazar un subwoofer pasivo en un Home Teather LG, use las salidas de altavoces frontales para llevar el audio al nuevo subwoofer y funcionó perfectamente, la única pega es que si no se reproduce audio en 5 minutos entra en modo Stand-by y necesita un volumen algo fuerte o mucha presencia de frecuencias bajas para volver a activarse. La calidad del audio es notable, tiene mucha fuerza.

Antes de hacer la compra me documente e invetigue, y la relacion precio, beneficio, calidad con estas bocinas sony valen cada peso (dolar) invertido, la calidad de los materiales en la construccion de las bocinas es muy bueno y lo mas importante la calidad de sonido es excelente, de hecho me gustaria que amazon incorporar dentro de su linea de ventas la bocinas SS CS3 (la version de piso), dado que no son muy caras y la calidad es iguamente excelente, Sony sigue siendo garantia de calidad en productos de electronica de consumo y profesional, esta bocinas sin ser nada espectacular y caras brindan una calidad de sonido excelente por un precio razaonable (algunas marcas de prestigio en electronica de sonido inflan demasiado sus precios y la calidad de materiales y sonido es excelente pero de plano es demasiado dinero por lo que ofrecen), las bocinas sony SS CS5 son un gran producto que valen la pena, brindan 100w a 6 ohm... mas que suficiente para un cuarto pequeño o mediano
