can this substitute for Automatic Transfer Case Fluid (GM Part No. 12378396)

auto trak 2 is slicker. It came about because the clutches in the transfer case were grabbing & causing a chatter. I've never heard of anyone having a problem using the auto trak 2 fluid instead of the auto trak fluid. I hope that helps you.

Is all ac delco auto track 2 fluid the same this part number doesn’t match my owners Manual ?

This is the correct fluid to use if and only if you have “full time” or automatic ALL WHEEL drive. It is NOT for four wheel drive, which mechanically is a totally different system, even though the result is similar- getting up a snow covered hill. I used this in my 2000 Olds Bravada. Fluid I drained looked dirtier, but the same blue. I believe that GM changed the part number, or updated the old fluid about 12 or 15 years ago. Like you, I did extensive online research before proving to myself that This Is the correct fluid to use for “automatic” All wheel drive before buying it.

Will this work in a 2007.5 lmm duramax?

It should work in the transfer case but I'd call the dealer parts department to be sure. My truck is a 1500. The transfer case in your Duramax may be a different unit requiring a different fluid.

Is this for the 2003 Silverado with 4 wheel buttons?

I used it in a 2004 Avalanche 1500 with push button 4WD and it made the service 4wd light stop. I decided to spend the extra to get this blue AC Delco fluid instead of a different brand the local part store offers
