SE ELECTRONICS - V7 Billy F. Gibbons Signature Dynamic Microphone

Super happy with the Se v7 performance. It’s been a stellar upgrade to our sound. The Billy Gibbons model in chrome is far and away the coolest tool in my mic locker.

I like everything about this mic. There is no competition in this price range for a mic of this quality. The tone in very tight and smooth on the mids and highs, maybe a bit bigger on the bottom than most, but I have found that EQ is very easy to get the sound you want with almost no handling noise. All of the V7's are great. You don't necessarily have to by a signature model to get this amazing sound. If you haven't got one yet, GET ONE!

I purchased this mic for the clearer and more detailed sound its specs suggested over a traditional Shure SM58. I compared it in my studio and through my band's live pa set up with some of my favourite mics - a Sennheiser MD425 a very good Sennheiser MD421 mk2 and the Shure SM58 and it was very similar to the 421 and to my ear superior to the other two mics in clarity and detail. It was also a marginally hotter signal than the other mics and rejected feedback better than all of them. It will be my live vocal Mic of choice going forward for lead vocals. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this mic is.

Looks great and sounds great

Mit dem Mikrofon selbst bin ich gut zufrieden. Ich nutze es erst seit einigen Tagen. Ich habe das Produkt hauptsächlich wegen des Mikros gekauft deshalb 4 Sterne. Trotzdem schade um die Aufbewahrungstasche von BFG das diese nicht vorhanden waren.

Great looking mic. The carrying case is on the cheap side. The extras were nice. Apparently this is similar to an SM58 without the mid hump but I haven’t had a chance to do any recording yet. Feels solid, little lighter that an SM 57. Happy with this one.

The packaging that includes a polishing cloth, mic bag and guitar picks are novel, but taking this mic on the road in a professional capacity has been a disappointment. Despite its sensational looks, it has lower gain and is more susceptible to rust than that of its cheaper counterpart, the V7x. I feel as if I paid extra only for the privilege of Billy Gibbons signature.
