Excellent Thunderbolt 5 cable. High build quality. Works well as a data cable and as a video cable.

This is a review of "Anker Prime TB5 Cable, 3.3 FT USB C to USB C".Anker usually makes good charging-related stuff and, from what testing I have done with it so far, this is a quality cable. While I can't fully test the capabilities of this cable due to the mix of devices I own, I can say that I have had no trouble using this cable to work with various handheld gaming PCs as well as my desktop PC to access external SSDs, provide power (my devices only charge up to 120W and this cable easily handles that), and use external monitors.This cable also charges my tablet just fine, but there are lots of cables that can do that. Use this particular cable for your PCs, devices that support fast cherge via PD, and for when you want high speed data transfer.

I got this to add a Thunderbolt compatible monitor to my laptop. Plugged it in and it worked first time with no issues. I have never had any issues with Anker products before, their stuff is usually top-notch. This cable feels no different, it feels very heavy duty and well made. I just wish it were longer but I know that's more of a limitation with the Thunderbolt interface.I plugged it into my laptop to try charging with it, but it only got to 120W. However I believe that is the limitation on my laptop not the cable, as the charger and cable are both rated for 240W.

Not sure why they are apart of the Prime line when they have significantly worse durability. No metal tip and fraction of the Prime's bend rating is misleading advertising

This cable is incredible for using eGPU docks with my ROG Ally, connecting to display docks with my laptop, and handles whatever I throw at it with speed and grace. The braided cable adds excellent durability as I carry it in my backpack loosely sometimes. The included Velcro is also incredibly durable and strong, and doesn't collect link best of all! And of course, if not using it for data connectivity, this powers my devices well with full charging speed. There is so much overhead, most consumers won't even reach half of what this cable can do. Look nowhere else for a futureproof USB C cable. It handles all backwards compatibility down to USB 3.0 and Display-Alt just fine.

The premium packaging of this cable hints as to its quality, and the cable itself seems to live up to that. It's appears to be solidly made, with a cloth braid material that is similar to Apple's Thunderbolt cable. Although I don't have any TB5 devices to test, with a TB4 SSD I get the expected data transfer speed (a bit over 2400MB/s read).

This cable is good quality and truly fast charging. I use it with a Samsung and an Apple phone. Cord is over 3ft. Anker is a reliable brand so its as good as I expected.

The media could not be loaded. I have used this cable to charge my iPhone 16 Pro Max and Surface Laptop Studio with out issue. I have used it to transfer data attached to an external USB 40Gbps enclosure (with an older NVMe Samsung drive) without issue. The wire/cabling that they use is really thick and feels solid. I would say it is overkill and maybe too thick as a travel USB-C phone charger but a good use for laptop and/or data/video cable.
