CliffsNotes CSET Multiple Subjects: Fourth Edition, Revised (CliffsNotes Test Prep)

Watch out for typos!! Ok practice tests but not entirely accurate to real test
First beware that this book contains typos (see the photos I posted above). Additionally, use the test preparation materials on the CSET website first to get a better sense of the types of questions used on the real tests. I found that the book asked for more specific knowledge (e.g. describe the dance of native american tribes) than the actual test (e.g. describe the dance style and significance in a culture of your choice)

Loved it
It has great explanations and helped me pass all three subtests on the first try!

This is the one
I purchased this book and the red covered CSET preparation books. I also used an online study course that included video tutorials. The online course and this book were the best combination. I'd study from one, then take the test in the other. After taking the 3 subtests, I think this book provides more than enough information to pass the test. That being said: The test questions can be tricky, if you aren't watching for it. They might ask what answer is NOT correct, just to catch you if you aren't paying attention. On the day of my test, I wasn't feeling well, so despite this great preparation, I feel like I could have had diminished capacity and fell for some of these "tricky" type questions. So, my recommendation to other test takers is not to take all 3 subtests at once, since sitting that long can be grueling and if you are having an off day, you may not have the endurance to keep up the level of concentration required.

Helped me pass
I passed all three subtests this year by just studying from this book and practice tests on test prep sites. The math and science sections were not comprehensive though (and the hardest for me), so I'd recommend using other books or resources too.

I passed all 3 subtests on the first try!
I ordered this book 2 weeks before my exam. I'm so happy I did because it helped me focus on content that I encountered in the exam. It's very informative and gives a lot of helpful examples. Use the book as a guide and anything that isn't familiar to you, read the explanations given in this book and go watch YouTube videos on the specific area, then look at the sample questions in this book. I want you to know that the content in the exam itself is not too bad. I definitely wish I would've studied more to get a higher score. But, at this point what matters is that I passed all three subtests at once. If you can, take them separately and save yourself from the time pressure! I finished the exam and managed to answers everything with just 1 minute to spare! Good luck!

Passed all 3 on the first try, and this book was of much value!!!
I like this book! I actually had a professor who recommend not buy any books like this saying that they are “all a waste of time” but honestly, I passed my first and third subsets, on the same day, taken for the first time, studying for only two weeks (intensely) using predominantly this as a source. I also used YouTube, and made tons of comics for the history, which for me was by far the hardest of all sections.I did use supplemental resources (study.com) for subset two, because I felt this wasn’t as strong for that, but still got a ton of value with the practice tests and questions. Passed that the first try as well!At the end of the day, these tests are expensive (and STRESSFUL!) Most of my peers are seemingly failing at least one section on their first try, and if this book makes a difference, it totally pays for itself. Also, I did try another book that was a few dollars cheaper first that had great reviews, and that was actually a huge waste of time (red cover).

I passed!
I ordered this one week before I'd have to go in and take the CSET Multiple Subjects exam. I planned to take all three parts on the same day and I had no preparation going in except for this book. Obviously I could not utilize as much of it in that time as I would have liked. But what I did read was actually on the test, and had I not picked up this book I can definitely say I would have failed the exam. There were sections about linguistic terminology that, frankly, I wasn't even aware of until I read this book's chapter about it. The history section is also a good refresher if you've forgotten a lot of what you might have learned a long time ago and need a quick rundown centered around what will probably be on the test. And sure enough, the parts that I read about were included as essay questions in the actual exam. Perhaps I was just lucky, but at the very least I can say that in hindsight studying from this book did not feel like a waste of time at all. Would recommend this.

Best practice book to PASS CSET!
This is the best practice book ever! I passed my CSETs all in one try each. As much as you study I wouldn’t recommend you taking all sections of the CSET Multiple subjects in one sitting. Study this book, and take each Subtest one at a time and you will do great! This book provided me with all the information I needed to pass the CSET. From practice problems, to the answers with explanations, to an outlined study guide for each section. Use this book along with additional free resources like YouTube, Khan academy, brainpop, and you’ll pass! I totally recommend this practice book.
