Milk Thistle is often recommended for liver support; however, we suggest discussing this with your veterinarian to determine if it is okay to use for your cat's particular case.

Q: This doesn't say for dogs on the bottle?

No. It does not say for dogs on the bottle but it is a lower dosage for dogs. One capsule is good for a 50 lb dog. Half capsule for 25 lb dog, etc

Q: My vet recommended Denamarin because it's made for dogs. Will this plain milk thistle provide the same benefit for my 30 lb. dog?

I had my 12 pound dog on both Denamarin and Milk Thistle. She is nearly 17 years old and was quite healthy up until very recently. I would double check with your vet about the benefits of one over the other

The capsules are NOT big. They are 1/2 inch long and 3/16 diameter.
