iFi - AC iPurifier - Mains Audio/Video Noise Eliminator/Line Conditioner/Filter/Isolator/Purifier/Whole Entertainment System Protection (Single Unit)

I have an expensive music system that sounds wonderful at its best, but too often does not sound at its best, presumably due to electrical interference. This is despite already having expensive mains conditioners (Ayre and Vertex). For example, we recently bought a new microwave and even having it switched on at the plug has drastic consequences for the sound of my system (yes it does!- even my wife who has zero interest in these things agrees!)... as do computer, laptop, washing machine etc. I bought this in the forlorn hope that it would eliminate the interference so that I do not have to run round the house turning everything off before I can enjoy my music at its best.The bad news is that it does not remove the interference - I still have to turn the microwave off. The good news is that with the iPurifier plugged in and the microwave off, the sound is spellbinding, magical! It has added a little more body and detail to the notes and an even better sense of the space between. This means I am more likely to smile, nod, tap my feet etc so things are a notch more enjoyable. A distinct advance on how it sounds without the iPurifier and at a reasonable cost as these things go. I recommend this gadget and am considering getting a second as the effects are supposed to be cumulative.

i did notice a bit more clear music and my picture was sharp with better definition.? would like some more of them. will wait until there a sale on.?

I bought the for my hi fi really but it did not sound that different. Wen I tried it on tv with a streamed show it was amazing. Better picture and fantastic improvement on sound clarity to the point of my wife taking out her hearing aids. My internet is not great so I imagine the worse it is, the greater the improvement.

I bought this to reduce the noise floor in my Hifi system. As instructed by the manufacturer, I played around with the placement of the device: I attached it on the wall socket next to the one where my mains power block cable is connected, I also tried different places on the mains block (1,2,3,4) and swapped the sockets around with power cables coming from my equipment. The result was that I did not see any difference in terms of lowering noise floor or reducing hum coming through speakers. Therefore this item did not do to my system what I hoped it would do and I finally returned the it.This was my experience based on my Hifi system and the mains in my flat in London. Other people might experience different results.

Recently got a new preamp and it was buzzing slightly into my headphone amp. Checked all grounds, connections etc and couldnt find anything wrong. Plugged this in and it vanished immediately with no bad effects. Noise floor probably unmeasureable. No change to dynamics. Recommended.

First impression - a very bulky product. Additional plug adaptor for use in British socket added to the bulkiness. Notice slight suppression of noise but failed miserably in reducing or eradicating the background humming of the AV system. That was the main purpose of the purchase. Overall experience was disappointing as the product failed to do the intended job as the advert claimed it could do. Others however may provide a different review based on their results.

Judging by other reviews this product does appear to offer some benefit but I could detect no audible improvement in my audio system.It is also claimed that the product can detect whether the mains supply polarity is reversed, however, this claim is misleading. Because the purifier can be plugged into the mains in two ways, one will show the polarity as correct but turn the purifier 180 degrees and reinsert and it will show reverse polarity.

This simply improves the sound of your system. 👍🏻 It unfortunately probably won’t transform it if it currently sounds like a bag of spanners, but if it’s working well but it could be even better, this will help it along very nicely ... with more ambience and detail and, most importantly, a better sense of timing to the music. I use mine in conjunction with audiophile mains leads (Nordost and Furutech), power conditioning units (Nordost, ISOL8), etc where you think it might have less opportunity to improve things, but it certainly works for me. I use two and am thinking about more. Another iFi power conditioning winner, along with the excellent DC iPurifier 2 (of which I have 6 or 7)! 😀
