AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME
BEST CAMPING PURCHASE EVER!You'll love this cot. Go ahead and drop it in your cart and come back to read the rest of my review. Trust me, it's worth it.Assuming you've put this in your cart, here we go...I am pretty picky when it comes to my sleeping conditions. My husband and I have a memory foam hybrid mattress at home, so when we decided to go on a camping trip I told him we had to find something comfortable to sleep on. I was tired of the money pit that air mattresses are- they always ALWAYS deflate and I have yet to find one that holds up for more than a handful of nights- even if it's on a clean, flat floor in our home. I began researching cots and came across these. I am so happy I did! The pad that comes on top is really comfortable and the canvas portion of the cot has a lot of give, so it feels much more like a bed. We purchased two of these and will be using them pushed together. When two are pushed together they almost make a queen size bed. Amazon must have heard the complaints about the packaging these are shipped in because ours came in two very durable cardboard boxes. If you are tired of air mattresses and such or are needing a portable bed of sorts, THIS IS IT!**UPDATE 8-25-2017**These cots are STILL AMAZING! We have toted these things around many places and had many overnight guests sleep on them. They are still by far the most comfortable portable bed option. Despite currently being 38 weeks pregnant, I still find these cots to be wonderfully comfortable and have slept on them several times throughout my pregnancy. Thanks for an awesome product, Coleman!

nice closure, sturdy and stable
I ordered Coleman Cot when it was on the deal of the day, for my studio apartment. I made a mattress from blue foam, but THIS COMES WITH a thin (inch or two) plaid topper. Mine is as comfortable as a bed, but smaller (it even has a bed skirt) but I took it off for the photo. I like its easy to carry closure, I seldom move mine but if I were using it for camping or company that would be a definite asset, it is light weight too. I however, am not "lightweight" I weighed 250 when I first started sleeping on this cot, now 230 and it was and is sturdy.

If you're oversized, this is the way to go
Yeah, so I'm a big guy. In all directions. I'm kinda tall and I'm wide and I'm totin' some tonnage, so you wonder whether this thing is up to the task. It is. For us biggins, the extra width of this is welcome, the length is nice, and it's pretty comfortable. It's also easy to setup and foldup. I used it for about 15 nights last summer and so far so good. We'll see how well the springs hold up over time, but I'm optimistic so far. If you're oversized, this is the way to go.

Disappointed
Years back, we owned “army” cots (canvas with wood frame), which we mainly used for camping. They folded down into a relatively small bag for storage. However, they were fairly uncomfortable (too stiff) and it was very difficult to stretch the canvas far enough to slide the end pieces in and out of the sleeves, so we got rid of them. My daughter recently needed surgery, and was not going to be able to use her loft bed for a few weeks. So I looked for cots on Amazon, passing on the army-style cots. Also, I needed the cot within a few days, and several of the cots were not available that quickly. This Coleman ComfortSmart camping cot had decent reviews and was available in Prime, so I decided to give it a try.We have found this Coleman cot to be just so-so. It was very simple to set up. With springs and a foam mattress, it offers some padding, but we added blankets for additional support/comfort. The mattress slid around a bit on the cot, so I placed some non-skid fabric (that I happened to have) between them and that took care of that problem. Although the dimensions are stated on the web page, I didn’t realize just how short this cot would be. Even my petite daughter’s feet stick off the end if she stretches out all the way. When done using the cot, it folds into thirds. While this is simple, the cot unfortunately still takes up a fair amount of storage room once folded. In addition, the cot does not come with any type of storage bag, so we are going to store it in the cardboard box in which it was shipped. So, bottom line, this cot is getting my daughter by, but it certainly would not be our top pick. Hmmm, maybe those army cots weren’t so bad after all!

Well built comfort cot with foam pad - ideal for the price
The foam pad helps with the comfort of this cot. Comfortable cot ideal for having guests staying overnight at out house, as we have few rooms available in our townhouse. This one is wider than most available which I like and bit taller than most, great for my nephews who are over 6 feet tall. Highly recommended! Arrived in short time.

Super Soft Matress A Killer
While the spring tensioned camp cot was a dream providing support especially for hips and shoulders, the included mattress was a horrible experience. The mattress was tossed onto the floor, as all it did was aggrivate an otherwise pleasant experience and as such, was useless and expensive. As far as the cot goes, a TEN, but the mattress itself, would do better as something to toss down as a ground comforter. This company produces excellent products and here, they should stiffen up the foam quite a bit and introduce a folding seam for the mattress to fit into the cot for carry or storage.Otherwise must say the mattress is well built, but for extreme softness which wrecks the beautifully well designed, spring cot, which could be used for triage in emergency situations. But the mattress, is not something one would want to sleep on for any period of time, simply causing stiffness and a sore back.

Great for car camping.
We use these for back-of-the-car camping. Its especially nice for the middle aged folks who are done with sleeping on the ground. We like these particular cots because of the springs. Not only are they more comfortable, but they don't make that rubbing noise most cots make when the canvas rubs against the frame. They fold and half and are fairly light weight. I wouldn't want to use them as a long-term bed, but for guests or mid-level glamping, they can't be beat.

Worth it
Arrived quickly, light weight. Glad I got the deluxe version, as it gives just a little more room. I'm 5 feet tall and 200 lbs and this feels nice and sturdy. I bought this for camping so I don't have to get up and down off the ground. Mattress is thick enough to not feel any poles underneath, actually a bit cozy. Will be the new guest bed, and camping cot.
