I'm 5'3 (waist around 29") and was looking for a belt to wear with boxy tops or dresses. I was worried this would be too wide for my frame and that the material would be too shiny, but it's perfect. I tried it out with a couple of my tops and it looks great.The material isn't as shiny as it looks in some of the pictures and you can turn it inside out for a more matte look. You can also wear it turned backwards to bring the slightly narrower part to the front. I can tie it in the front or the back depending on how long I want the tail end to be. All of the different variations look good.There's a little pressure when you wear it in the sense that you're wrapping something only semi-malleable around your ribs, but that's just a fact of life. If you want a tighter fit, it's going to be a bit constricting. It's not particularly uncomfortable and I think I might get used to it so much I don't even feel it if I wear it for longer.There are a few trailing threads, but the actual stitching itself looks sound. I don't think it would hold up to major wear and tear, but it's not exactly supposed to be subjected to that as a waist belt either, so it should be fine.

Cheap material feels like paperish.

I ordered a “white” belt but what I received was an off white, cream colored belt. As one can observe from the attached photo, the belt is clearly not white when laid upon white. For this reason I had to return it as I haven’t any need for a cream belt.I am actually disappointed it’s not white because other than that it’s exactly what I was looking for. I am 5’5” and the belt had a nice width for my torso. I have other obi belts that are wider and the edges tend to roll when I sit or bend, but this one is the right width and thickness in which that would is not an issue for me. For the price, it is a sturdy, nice looking faux leather belt. If it had been a true white I would have happily worn it.The loss of two stars is mostly due to poor descriptions.1. The white belt should be not listed as white for it is not. It is cream2. The primary belt description states soft leather which it is not. If one scrolls down to the material description it does say PU leather but by not stating that in the primary description is in my opinion, intentionally misdirecting. In addition, I would describe the belt as a textured faux leather belt rather than soft leather. Soft leather is thin and smooth an this belt is neither.

I really like this belt, but it's just too big for my waste. I'm petite, so I don't know if I'm the problem. I'm keeping it and will try to fix the size, but I wish I didn't have to do that.

I like the fact that the belt looks exactly like the picture online however, I think it’s important that people know this belt is not genuine leather, it is a good knock off of faux leather

I purchased the soft leather/ thin strap version in nude pink and am OBSESSED.I originally purchased because I love dresses with a cinched waist. However, being really tall, dresses typically gather about 2 inches above where they should on me. I purchased this belt thinking I could wrap it at my natural waist and it would be wide enough to blend in with the dress gathers. It totally worked!!The faux leather is soft and thin enough that it really molds to my body. I haven't had any issues with the tie loosening or the belt twisting throughout the day. The straps were really long for my body and style so I cut off a few inches and am so happy with the results.10/10 would recommend. I'll also be ordering in the brown for my more casual dresses.
