A heel pull and dual goring at the tongue provide an expert fit in this cozy, cushioned slipper. In 1804, T. & A. Evans (Thomas and Amos) were running a small shoe business connected with a general store in the town of South Reading. There was no shoe factory as we know it today, just a small shop where Thomas and Amos cut the leather for their shoes. The actual shoe making was farmed out among the people of the town, while Thomas and Amos supplied them with uppers, soles, counters and heels to be assembled into shoes. All shoes were sewed by hand whenever the shoemaker-farmers could spare the time. Today L.B. Evans is owned and operated as a division of Daniel Green Enterprises. Many of the traditional gentleman's slipper styles are still part of the line, but the business has grown to include new updated classics, premium products including elk and deer, and an array or rugged, warm outdoor styles. Daniel Green Enterprises remains committed to the quality and comfort guarantee that the Evans brothers established over 200 years ago.

Just order 4th pair for my husband for Christmas. These are best slippers and he loves them!Very comfortable, but sturdy.Jackpot!
I thought it's about time I leave a review on these slippers. I just ordered a 4th pair for my husband. He works in a body shop for at least 12 hours a day standing on a concrete floor and his feet kill him. The first thing he does when he gets home after washing his hands is to put his slippers on. He's had many kinds over the years, but these are his absolute favorites. He wears a size 15 and we buy the 15 E and they are very comfortable and stay securely on his feet when he walks. They have such a good sole that they're almost like a shoe-not all floppy, and he can wear them out in the hall to a laundry room or whatever. They're a little pricey, but worth it. I've bought the chocolate color for him, but this time I ordered the lighter "hash-something", the camel-colored ones, just for a change. He's a big guys, so he tends to wear them down, meaning that in time they kind of flatten out and also get wider and looser-not as secure on his foot. That isn't a complaint-he still loves them, but just in wearing them over a long period of time every morning and night, it just happens. My 14 year old son has some worn out "cutesy" slippers of animals and things that are really getting too small to wear anymore, so I think I may order him the same ones for Christmas that I just order his Dad. He's ready for "big guy's" type slippers that are comfy and will also stay on his feet, plus be just like Dad's! I think he'll like them a lot. In conclusion, these slippers are my husband's # 1 pick, and when he finds something he likes, he just wants to stick with them and not experiment any further. Part of that is that because he wears a size 15, it's not always easy with footwear to find something he's happy with and actually is in stock. My son is just reaching size 8 now, so hopefully these will fit in that size well. Worth the money, and can't say enough positive things about these slippers. You hit the jackpot and won't be disappointed with these!!!

Great Comfy Slipper for Daily Use & Stays On
I like switching to slippers when I get home from work for around the house, and even in the yard with our dog. Our house is mostly hardwood floors, so slippers are a lot more comfortable on my feet for lounging around. But I really only like slippers that stay put on your feet and don't flop around or slip off the heel. Otherwise it makes is more awkward and less ergonomic for walking around for me. I want to be able to run around the house without the slippers being a hazard to me. So staying on my foot, and good traction is a must too. At least for my feet, these stay on my foot, hold their shape, and hold up to daily use, and are more comfortable than my every day athletic shoes that I actually wear to work.Like all slippers and shoes, the bottom padding does get beaten flat in time. So a new pair always seems extra comfy. They are pretty good through 6 months, and still find at 10 months for me, but I usually start to realize closer to 12 months how flat they've gotten and not as comfortable for running around, and then it is time to toss and put on a new pair.I had shopped around for a long time to find slippers that I liked, and a number of them didn't work out. But these are my favorite. I actually found these at a local mega retailer a while ago and bought 2 pair at the time. By the time the 2nd pair was well worn out, they weren't locally stocked anymore, even after I waited for the winter season to come around. Thanks to Amazon, I can continue to get my favorite slippers. When they went on sale, I pounced and bought 8 pairs :) .

Solid and durable
Writing this review on the pair I purchased back in 2016 since I'm now ordering a replacement, not because they're worn out but because it's been over seven years and they're just starting to show some wear and I'm thinking ahead and want to test whether quality has slipped or not.The 2016 originals have handled the harsh climate of the Pacific Northwest and occasional to frequent outside wear without complaint. Forex, I often will throw them on to walk to the mailbox out at the road to get the mail even when it's raining. They dry right out and are none the worse for wear.If the quality hasn't slipped, and other more recent reviews cover that, solid choice IMO. Definitely worth the money. I paid about 34.00 for them in 2016 and today's purchase was about 39.00. Pretty inflation-resistant too.Recommend!

Fits well.
This is my second pair. 1st pair I used for gardening. Lasted 8 years. I see no reason this pair shouldn't hold up as well.

SOOOOOOO NICE
I bought these five years ago and think the world of them. And they're still OK after all that time, though a little scruffy. So decided to splurge on a new pair -- and wonderfully they're just as good. Talk about value -- these are so worth the money. The suede uppers are the real thing. The full-rubber sole is durable even walking outside. And the construction quality is faultless. I couldn't ask for more.

Still going after years of abuse. Just buy 'em.
These things rock. That's the bottom line. Buy them and you won't regret it.I have had these for 5 years now and use them daily for walking around the house, getting the mail, going to the store, or walking around the yard. My dog chews them and carries them around and sometimes leaves them in the yard. Despite all of this, they are still going strong. The interior lining will eventually get worn away by your foot, but that's several years in and you can just pull the scraps out.The only reason I'm posting a review 5 years later is because my dog stole one and I can't find it anywhere. Now I'm excited about getting a new pair to start the cycle over again.I don't know how the heck these guys did it, but these beat the pants off of any slipper I've seen in my life.
