Definitely worth it.
I have a lot of govee bulbs and led strips, and have been waiting for bulbs like these. So here is my unbiased review.I love them. They are bright, I have them on my front porch for all to see. They have different "scenes " for every holiday, changing the bulbs to whatever the season is. The app is ready to use, always had been, so I don't know what people have problems with. You can set colors, routines, have Alexa turn them on. Yes you need wifi for that. It does use your phones Bluetooth. I highly recommend them for color and brightness. The only con is if you have them all grouped and want them to come on at the same time using your phone, you have to be withing Bluetooth range. If your at work or in Ghana, you can turn them on, one at a time, but they wont be color synced. Its annoying, or maybe I missed something, but I doubt it. Buy them, enjoy and thank me later.

Govee E12 Bulbs: Bright, Reliable, and Worth the Price
I’ve already reviewed the excellent Govee A19 bulbs (1000 lumens) and the more disappointing BR30s (850 lumens). The E12 bulbs were the last piece in replacing all the lights throughout my home. Thankfully, they’re much more in line with the quality of the A19s than the BR30s.Despite having fewer lumens than the other two, you’d never notice. These bulbs are impressively bright for their size, which says a lot about Govee’s consistency and design. As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, setup is quick and painless. Screwing in the bulbs honestly takes longer than getting them online. You connect via Bluetooth in the Govee app, and from there, you can switch the bulbs over to your Wi-Fi network. The app gets the job done, controls are intuitive, but it still feels like it could use some visual polish and refinement.Once everything’s connected, performance is solid. Color changes are smooth, and the bulbs integrate well with Alexa and Google Assistant (HomeKit support is still clunky, even with Matter). While the app gives you the most control, basic automation works fine through your preferred smart home platform.Overall, these are great bulbs even if a bit pricier than their A19s or BR30s equivalents. Still, for those finishing off a smart lighting setup, they’re absolutely worth considering.

Govee does it again.
I am impressed with the rich colors of these bulbs. I have a 9 bulb chandelier and a 3 bulb porch light. I had been using the Sengled E12 bulbs but was disappointed with their washed out colors. Most of my Govee stuff is for my TVs or for the outside so this is really my first dip into interior lighting. I was quite pleased with the colors. Similar to what my Hue lights are capable of. But for a fraction of the cost. The whites are as expected and about as bright as advertised by my reckoning. And I love the Govee App so much more than the Hue app. But let’s face it… I don’t really use either…opting instead for Home Assistant integrated with Alexa and Hubitat. And these lights pair up perfectly with all of them. I haven’t tried setting up the matter side yet but that’s next. The fact that they are Matter compatible is another huge selling point as I am trying to move as much as I can that direction. I can’t really speak to their longevity as they are brand new and I believe I am actually the first reviewer. But if their quality stands up with most of my other Govee stuff I expect they’ll do just fine.My one and only complaint is that I had to screw them in kind of tight to get them to connect. One more millimeter of threading would have been nice to have seated well without feeling like I might break the porcelain on the fixture. All in all I am happy with this purchase and guess I’ll go ahead and get two more sets to finish out my fixtures.

Very cool pre-sets w/ music. Took some effort to figure out connectivity w/ 3rd party apps.
The media could not be loaded. Definitely a very cool upgrade for anywhere you have the bigger E26 candelabra style bulbs. We needed these for our bathroom and we've been really enjoying having them. We can all customize our own settings and scenes, making for a very relaxing bath time!I have been liking the different settings in the app and the customizations you can do. They have a unique feature I haven't seen where you can actually play background music from the govee app that goes with whatever scenic dreamview you have set up. I thought that was really neat, and useful for different scenarios! If you wanna get your kids outta the room, berserk is the one to pick! 😅 Or I think it's called "alert!" If you see the tabs in one of my pics where it says things like "anniversary" "universe" etc, you can scroll sideways to see more and click on each one to see a whole sub-set of color combinations. Each one has had background music so far! Pretty neat.I do wish it were easier to control a group of lights all in one area of the app though. Right now, you can control basic colors and brightness in the "basic group control" and you can control the scenes once you set up your "group" as a "scenic dream view". (You'll see mine says bathroom lights, that's the green logo where you control color combos and the purple logo that says basic group control is only basic colors.) why is this not all in one area? Why do I have to have a group AND set up a "scenic dreamview" is beyond me tbh. Another issue I have is you'll see at the bottom they like to use pictures that have NO correlation to navigate through the app... You click on the cake to get to individual devices and click on the planet to get to the group or scenic dreamview controls. Doesnt make any sense to me and made it difficult to learn tbh. I wish it was more straightforward. Plus the whole earning points thing in the app (the number 7 in the middle) is a waste of space to me. I'm not going to be interacting in a community where you've spent more time on the points area and community function than on the actual UI of the app and functionality of the lights you sell. I also have another product from them and even though the controls for that look much different, it's still quite convoluted where I have to click here to do this, but go over there to change that, it's a process. But I do have to say that they are very close to having one of the top competing LED apps if they just keep working on it. There is absolutely potential for the community side to become even more popular but this app has got to become easier to use. We also had a hard time getting our phones to add these and for it to stop asking "do you want to add this device to matter?" When we already had, multiple times, it turns out that you need to leave them on in order to keep them added. It's not like my govee car lights where when I turn my car on all I have to do is open to app to change stuff around and it's connected automatically in seconds every time. Not these lights, they have to stay on and you control them by voice only. That's the only way we have found anyway. And they stay connected through Bluetooth. The wifi connectivity stops when you close the app. Other than that I like them enough to keep them in for sure and we've adapted to controlling by voice easily since we do control our living room lights by voice as well. Not bad.
