Spring and cap with old plunger
These plungers were a bit longer than my original steel ones, but the springs and caps were just like the old ones. The old springs were worn out and the caps were brittle from the sun. I ended up using the old steel plungers with the new springs and caps and the combination works great.

Not bad
Only complaint is that the grip part pulls off the pin when you try to use it. I had to glue the head to the pins to keep that from happening.

Perfect Fit for our Window Screens
Our house is approx. 26 years old. Quite a few window screens (36 windows!) only have partial screen plungers left after so many years. Using an appropriately sized nail to keep them in place, not a great fix. The size we needed was very difficult to find. We finally did! They work well, easy to install.

Not three stars any more - Replacing the Mostly Metal Once Which Corroded
Just editing to reflect more extensive usage. Sadly, I had to reduce from 3 to 2 stars. This is because these seem really flimsy in use and because the snapped-on caps sometimes just pop off, not holding on well. I may end up going back to the metal ones even though they corrode. Or maybe I can find some other supplier.Got these to replace the mostly metal ones that came with my screens. It seems the metal plunger parts corrode in my marine environment so I decided to go all-plastic to try and avoid that in the future. These seem to fit and do the basic job. Cannot say how long they will last at this point. But they are certainly inexpensive enough and I doubt they will suffer any corrosion problems.

good quality
These were better than the original fasteners that came with the window. More sturdy.

Works great
They are exact replicas of the old one and they work like they're supposed to.

Worked, and glad it was available
Thankfully this fit the bill, as these parts are extremely difficult to find by themselves in the consumer market without buying an entire screen kit.

Nylon material is too flexible for taking screen out
When removing the screen because of its flexibility the plunger bends and is caught in the side of the hole. To prevent this the larger end of the plunger should be made longer and this may help but probably not guarantee to remove the problem entirely. I recommend using the metal or diecast plunger. However, I don't like the diecast aluminum plunger because over time it corrodes and becomes stuck in the hole. The best alternative is a stainless steel plunger (I think) but it is difficult to get the right size and they are expensive.

Ends pop right off
The size and fit are fine, however the ends do tend to pop right off again next time you pull on them. I put a dot of super glue on them when I push them together. They work fine now.
