ACDelco GM Original Equipment GT139L Locking Fuel Tank Cap , Black

I got this for my '96 GMC Suburban so that I could have a locking gas cap. I am sometimes uncomfortable knowing that anyone could just open my gas tank cap and either siphon off gas or add something to my gas that could destroy my engine. Maybe i'm paranoid....maybe. But this locking gas cap works well and comes with two keys. Easy to use. A little expensive, but its a genuine GM part so thats expected to some degree. Worth the cost in my opinion.

This locking gas cap fits a wide range of GM cars and trucks. The cap is bulkier and heavier than a non-locking cap, but it fits in my 2013 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe with room to spare.Inserting the key is easy:1 — To be consistent, I turn the writing on the cap right-side up (by turning the cap counter-clockwise, as if I was trying to unscrew it).2 — I see the dimple in the lock (in my photo).3 — I press the tip of the key into the dimple, and I push the little metal door to the inside and out of the way (in my photo).4 — I insert the key from this position.Your cap might be assembled with the key slot and dimple at another angle (maybe upside-down from my photo). But if you start consistently, with the writing on the cap right-side up, then you can see how to make the dimple work for you.

Works well as an OE Compatible Product. Just like the original!

One of the best gas caps I think I've ever used

These worked perfectly for my truck, they seem durable and the locking feature is amazing. The only thing I wish they did was have 1 key unlock both of them as I have 2 tanks and ordered both caps at the same time in the same order.

The media could not be loaded. Completely useless, when LOCKED if you add a LITTLE bit of pressure the locking mechanism is rendered completely ineffective.My 8-year-old nephew is the one who discovered this when he was able to apply enough pressure to undo the cap while locked!

Described perfectly and fits perfectly. The fact that is GM Oem makes it even better.
