This gave me various topics about the same major topic to give my lessons on the topic last longer. it was easy to use ans helpful.

I think the description of this item could use some clarification because I was expecting more of a workbook type of material that would flow through social studies topics. Instead it is more of a book of reproducible sheets that work better for supplementing curriculum you already have in place, which is great if that's what you're looking for. The sheets are actually very nice and I do think I'll use them as needed, but still not the workbook I was expecting.

I like it I think its a great starting books for the begging of school.

This book was created in 2019 this is unacceptable to still be using the word Indian as well as white washed history of what happened with John smith knowing she is a child

Love this book! Great starters and great topics. The true nature of what social studies is at this age.

There are several good ideas in this book, and I liked how each lesson was linked to an extra activity. BUT—-I believe that many of the topics covered are not age-appropriate and are explained at a level that is inappropriate for a first-grader. I now use this book only as a last-minute idea resource and would not recommend for a curriculum.
