Learning about the World
This is great for our great granddaughter, she enjoys learning and using the talking wand. She will use it more and she matures. It's a good size and great value for the money. It's another way to have fun and learn at the same time.

Highly educational & engaging
My grandchildren were delighted with the GeoSafari globe! I liked the various information they could receive. The globe asks them to find a place, ocean, mountain range, etc. It also gives information about specific countries, states, & cities. As they use the globe, they will discover many more ways to explore the world.

Cute and good quality
Great for any kiddo who wants to learn more about different countries and the planet. My son has really enjoyed learning and playing on his globe. Picked this one specifically because of Bindi Erwin.

A Winner Gift Anytime of the Year!
I purchased this for my great grandson who will be starting school (1st grade) soon. He's very intelligent and I want to keep him going in this direction. As he proceeds through his schooling I'm sure this globe will become a asset in his learning!

Volume on Pen stopped working
At first we loved this globe, and it kept our daughter entertained for a long time while learning facts about the world. However, the talking pen is now extremely quiet. It’s very difficult to hear anything it’s saying, and the volume button doesn’t work. We tried replacing the batteries and that didn’t help. I reached out to the manufacturer about getting a replacement pen, but I never heard back from them. I wish there was a way to buy a replacement pen.Update: I’m changing my review to four stars because the manufacturer eventually got back to me. They did replace the pen, and we are very grateful! I’m just hoping this new pen continues to work for a long time.

This talking globe was a perfect way for me to get a globe
If you are looking for a way for your kids to learn more about the world, then this is the toy to get. My kids have been asking for a globe since we have been talking about where all of our family lives. We have a USA map from Learning Resources, but they wanted to see the whole world. This talking globe was a perfect way for me to get a globe, but also have something informative for them to learn.I ordered this toy from Amazon and the box was huge! I was expecting a problem in the packaging, but the globe was intact and it actually took me some time to get it out of the box. So, I am glad that for the price, the globe came safely in the package. There was nothing to assemble except to add the batteries. That’s my kind of toy! I couldn’t get the batteries in fast enough. The kids wanted to play with it right away. I let them explore while I read the instruction manual to see what we could do with this globe. Our favorite feature is all of the animals you can learn from each country. The kids figured that out on their own while I was reading the manual. All I hear now is “Mom.. did you know “this animal” lives in “this country”? And then they share the fact that they learned. I learned that reindeers are real and live in Russia!! That’s my daughter’s favorite fact. Every day, I am learning about more and more animals.Another really cool fun fact that the kids can do is to measure the distance between cities. The pen tells you how many miles or kilometers it is from city to city. It refers to different objects, like how many Eiffel Towers you lay between the two cities. The kids love that more than the mileage. They just keep pressing two different cities and wait to hear the objects and how many it takes to fill that distance in.The one feature we probably will need to explore more is the USA option. You can learn about cities and capitals just in the United States. The kids are more excited about learning about the different countries and continents, that the

Globe
This is a nice globe, but really not worth the value. The pen function works, but the information provided is not very valuable. The reliability is not the best on the pen. You have to touch a location several times for it to sense itBut over all, not the worst product of its type

Frustrating, inconsistent, incorrect, top-heavy
The media could not be loaded. We own a very old learning globe from Oregon Scientific (no longer produces these globes and might be out of business). I purchased this GeoSafari Globe to have a more up to date version of stats, ect. This GeoSafari globe looks cool and first. But once you start interacting with it, it is all down hill and becomes pretty boring and frustrating. The worst mode is nature and animals. Here you find animals incorrectly labeled and inconsistent answers to what you click. It is definitely not as educational as it could be and too frustrating and boring to hold an adults attention for long, let alone a child!
