A must for the home bartender
An essential bottle you have to own if you keep a well stocked home bar. I used to think it registered pretty low on the nose and palate but have since dialled in on its flavour profile and now recognise it as a favourite note in many of my favourite drinks. As such, it runs out fairly quickly. The only problems some people might have aren't problems with the product as such but here they are as I see them. 1. It's a tall bottle so if like me you keep it in a cupboard with shelves in, then you need a fair bit of space on at least one shelf to accommodate its height. and 2. Its a good looking bottle, however the woven straw like material that wraps the bottle conceals how much of the precious liquid you've consumed and on more than one occasion I've run out without a spare bottle to hand, much to my own and others disappointment. Minor niggles but I've since learnt to buy a new bottle as soon as I open a new one. Or you could always tip the bottle horizontally (with the lid on of course) and see the wash line that way. Some places also sell 50cl bottles which might be less in height.

Excellent Maraschino liqueur for cocktail lovers
If you are considering buying a Maraschino liqueur then the Luxardo brand is definitely the one to choose. It is the Maraschino that others should aspire to be like! The rich and indulgent flavour of this liqueur is great in cocktails. Although Maraschino liqueur is made with a type of sour cherry, it does not have a strong cherry flavour but rather a bittersweet herbal/spiciness about it which comes from the cherry stones. It has quite a unique flavour and is a key ingredient of various cocktails. It’s best known in Aviation and The Last Word but also features in various Daiquiris (such as the Greta Garbo, pictured). It is often used in small quantities, providing balance to other ingredients but it keeps fairly well once opened due to its reasonably high alcohol content. The liqueur is colourless, has a great fragrance and really is indispensable for cocktail lovers. Thoroughly recommended if you are in the market for an excellent Maraschino liqueur.

A cocktail essential. There's nothing like it.
Don't be expecting a liqueur that tastes like maraschino cherries here. It doesn't taste like cherries at all. This really isn't a liqueur to drink on it's own. It's got a very strong and unusual bittersweet taste that comes from the ground pits of the cherries it's made from. It's main use is in cocktails and because of the above is only ever used in tiny amounts (1/4 - 1/2 oz typically). A little goes a long way, even a tiny bit too much and the taste of this liqueur easily dominates - and not in a good way - a bit like Crème de Violette which you also wouldn't want to drink neat. But it's an absolutely essential ingredient to cocktails like an Aviation or a Hemingway Daiquiri that can't be substituted for and adds something special. If you're into making classic cocktails give it a punt, you won't look back.
