SAMSONITE S'Cure DLX Spinner 75, 4.5 KG Suitcase, 75 cm, 102 liters, Black (Black/Gold Deluscious)

I rarely write a product review before actually using it, but in this case (no pun) I have to state how impressed I was with the supplier which was based in Germany. The price was way lower than any on Amazon's other suppliers and over £80 cheaper than John Lewis. The suitcase was ordered on the 27th and arrived on the 30th with a 1-hour time slot given on the day. This is far better service than the majority of UK suppliers. Excellent service. Anyway, down to the suitcase. Impressed by the build quality but as it's a Samsonite I rather expected it. Opening up the case revealed a smart interior with lots of removable/zip-up pockets/compartments. I like the locking clasps. I was getting a bit fed up with struggling with zips which have a tendency to either stick or even fail. It runs beautifully smoothly on its 8 (4x2) wheels. As said, I've yet to fully pack it and subject to our next long-haul flight in a month or-so time but I cannot believe this case will be anything but robust and reliable especially after reading others' reviews..

Great Suitcase, good size & light.

I am really impressed with this case. The 8 rolling wheels make for a super smooth track over most terrain. It could be lighter, but to get anything lighter you are paying 3x more. Durability wise this case has been on 12 flights in the past year. the handle has not gone slack (common problem with roller cases like this) and the body shows light scuffs, but the colour hides them well. The internal compartments are a nice touch on the Deluxe model, especially the wet pocket that provides nice peace of mind that if your shampoo bursts open, you case contents are still safe. Very happy with this case. I was even happier to see that many flight crew use this case too, so Samsonite must be doing something right. A tip though.. be sure to tie something to the case to help you identify your case at the baggage carousel... there is likely to be more than one of these on your flight

Lightweight and sturdy, I do quite a few long weekend trips around Europe and so this is the perfect size for carry on luggage on all airlines as well as those pesky budget airlines - Easyjet and Ryanair. It is sleek looking and I have had many compliments on what an attractive looking luggage it is. Glides along smoothly and despite it receiving a bit of a knock by a vehicle on it's debut in Naples, it is still working well and has minimal damage. I've only had it for just under a month so far and already brought it on three weekends away and been very happy with it each time. The three clamp locks around the sides versus the usual zipper was new to me but I have had no issues with it so far and find it quite quick to close and snap close when I'm in a rush. Not sure how it would fare in the hold, but fingers crossed that won't be necessary any time soon.

The wheels are strong and look to last a longtime, the lock feature is relatively easy to use, it is however not very compact and would require support especially if not fully filled while travelling. It is also heavy reducing the actual luggage weight, given that airlines have weight restrictions

The name goes before them. Build to last. Sturdy. And if a wheel ever breaks off, probably can get parts. Worth the money.

Great product

Very nice smart looking and well built suitcase, M size is perfect for a one week or longer work trip/holiday where you need clothes for both day and evenings. Case is wide enough to accommodate items on full width coat hangers. Smaller side can take two suits in a suit bag on hangars and as can fit width-ways still is only half full. Case is sturdy but light, wheels are smooth and handles are nicely constructed. In an ideal world both sides would be lined, however I can live with just the one side. Very pleased overall.

Livraison à la vitesse de l'éclair par UPS J'ai choisi ce modèle d'un prix raisonnable pour plusieurs raisons. - Les dimensions permettent de rester dans la limite de 23Kg (50 livres). Les bagages de poids supérieur sont lourdement pénalisés à l'enregistrement (sauf en Première). 23Kg pour 102 litres, ça fait 225 grammes par litre, ce qui est correct. C'est davantage le poids que la dimension qui pose un réel problème. En choisissant le bagage, regardez le volume et appliquez la formule de 225 grammes par litre, vous aurez le poids final. Que ce soit pour une femme ou pour un homme : on emporte tous plus ou moins les mêmes objets. Et si les femmes ont des valises plus lourdes, c'est souvent parce les messieurs demandent aux compagnes de porter leurs objets (c'est mon cas personnel). - Samsonite fait de la bonne qualité en général. - La poignée possède deux montants (voir photo). Ce qui permet de passer un bagage cabine à cheval. Celui-ci ne tournera pas autour comme quand il n'y a qu'un seul montant - Les roulettes sont doubles (voir photo) et se positionnent mieux lors du roulage. - Les deux demies valises s'emboitent l'une dans l'autre. Ce qui apporte une excellente tenue mécanique et une bonne étanchéité quand les bagages restent sous la pluie. - Pas de fermeture éclair. Les fermetures éclair chez Samsonite sont beaucoup trop légère pour certains modèles de valises et ont tendance a lâcher pendant le transport. D'autre part, une simple pointe Bic permet l'insertion et la séparation des deux bandes de fermeture éclair . Le bagages est très facilement dépouillé et spolié pendant le voyage. - Les poignées et serrures sont de niveau avec la coque de la valise. Une poignée reste accessible pour accrocher l'étiquette d'identification et la bande aéroport de destination enroulée à l'enregistrement du bagage. Je viens de réformer un modèle Spinner Curve Samsonite de 400 euros pour toutes ces raisons.

Love this type of Samsonite. They are so light, safe because it's zipperless, they have 3 clamps to close it with the main one where you set up a code to close and open it. Moves and slides easy in any direction, no friction at all. The best of all Samsonite and other expensive suitcase/luggage. Others have gadgets to attract more buyers but remains unsafe because they have zippers.

Product god as expected

Great luggage for multiple trips in a month. The interior is well-designed with options, and the black/gold color adds a touch of luxury. This check-in luggage is sturdy and scratch-free through airports. The shipping and handling were 5-star as well; credit to this vendor. Overall, this Samsonite S'Cure is a deluxe product.
