Professional Violin Viola Tuner, Clip-On Large LCD Screen Tuner (Black)

The tuner unit itself appears to work fine, but the mount that holds the tuner unit is broken where the unit is supposed to be attached. It appears to have been a plastic pin holding it onto the mount. Separated as soon as removed from the package. The only way to make it useable is to glue it back on. Nothing in the instructions gives any clue as to whether or not it is supposed to be this way......I understand the fragility of such appliances, but I have several others by other brands that work fine without this issue. I chose this because of the mount that fits (fits well by the way) on my viola. Other brands, Snark, Peterson, etc do not mount as conveniently. I would probably not order this again. Looking to return for a refund., It actually arrived this morning. Just tested it within the last hour.

I just started learning how to play the violin, and the directions on how to use the tuner were lacking. It started at A440 and went up by increments but short of removing battery I couldn’t get back to A. I’m sure it’s probably a great tuner for an experienced player, but unless for a beginner.

Our 8 year old son decided to join his elementary school orchestra this year - and it has been a learning experience for us all. Neither parent previously played a string instrument before so we had to quickly learn to be of assistance. This was a great basic tuner that saved the day for us all. Good price and product efficiency!

The joint where the tuner attaches to the clip is so loose that it just swings back and forth whenever the instrument moves. I can literally move it by blowing on it. If you like playing the violin while watching a 2" piece of black plastic move back and forth across your field of vision, this tuner is definitely for you. If not, get something else. Two stars because I suppose it's probably a reasonably accurate tuner, given that it's a fairly standard piece of electronics these days, but the housing system is so cheesy that the gadget is useless.

It came broken in the box. I thought about sending it back, but what the heck, I just super glued it and got on with it. It works great now.

The device works as intended. It's easy to place on the pegs and to read. The display is clear and easily readable. It seems to be accurate as well. You cannot beat the price as well.

it works great.my only complain is that you HAVE to clip it to instrument otherwise it won't work
