The Opinions of Three Cats, written by their Servant/Mom
Appearance - this looks *just* like the photos.Assembly - super easy! It didn't come with written instructions but the included picture version was easy enough to use.Mat Design/Function - the mat that it comes with this fountain is very thin but that's good because it is like a 'skin' for my hardwood floors and it doesn't move. With the fountain on top, there is no way my cats will tip over this fountain (as they tend to do with their water bowl).Fountain Function - Once filled with water, you have three options for the fountain:1) No Spout. This produces a gentle, almost 'bubbling' mini water fountain with no splashing or spill-over2) Spout. This produces a bit of a higher, stronger fountain but still no splashing or spill-over3) Flower. This produces streams of water that spill over the flower's petals with no spill-over but a bit of splashing.Cats' Opinions -1) Spaz, the 16-year-old: likes to watch the fountain, but won't drink out of it. Spaz likes his water dish over this.2) Frank, the 11-year-old: likes to drink from any of the 3 options plus from the 'pool' of water. Frank prefers this over the water dish.3) Groot, the 1-year-old: absolutely loves this. He paws at the streams, he drinks from the streams, he drinks from the 'pool' of water. If the spout is inserted, he will pull it out and run around the house with it. He also is able to lift the corner of the pool's 'lid' and open the fountain.Overall - a huge success!Cat #2 - 'Frank,' 11 years old. Frank

Tweenaged cat approved!! Update!!! Update 2
The media could not be loaded. 01-19-21 Pump stopped working. I pried off the slotted cover on impeller(looks like a tiny fan) side. Yes it comes off. Lifted black cap covering impeller . The impeller was full of cat hair and slime. Lifted out impeller and more slime. Cleaned it all. Put back together and now works like new. If yours fails grab a small screw driver and go to work!07-05-20 My cats are now all grown up and this product is still going strong! No issues whatsoever. I stopped using filters as our tap water is tasty to drink. I do clean once a week. I use the bubbler attachment in the summer to stave off the evaporation a bit. Winter I use the flower piece to add some humidity to the room. Best investment for my cats to date. FYI all my families pets that come to visit enjoy the fresh moving water as well.My young cat loves water. I was running a slow trickle in the bath tub for her to play with. On one of my random internet black hole events I stumbled across the idea of a fountain water dish. Went to Amazon and found this fun piece! Kona loves it as you can see in the video. She hears the water and feels compelled to explore and take a sip. The pump is very quiet. The water sound has increased somewhat as evaporation makes the water in the tank lower and so the sound of it falling back through the filter amps the noise level a bit. I find the sound of running/dripping water soothing, so I’m benefiting from this lil gem a bit as well . We both love this product. I will add to this review if my opinion should change in the future.

Good product, but some resevations
I got this fountain for some feral kittens that I am fostering. I like it a lot. It is compact, absolutely silent (apart from the splashing of the water), and has good capacity. However, some things you should be aware of:- It's quite high. My kittens can drink standing up. Kittens that like to drink while crouching won't like this.- The capacity isn't as large as it appears, because the pump suction is some way off the bottom of the container.- Frequent filter changes are recommended, but filters aren't on the same page as the fountain. (I've found that the filter rinses off easily, and I doubt it will need changing often.)- It comes with a decorative mat, which is pretty - but isn't water-absorbent, so any spills run straight off!- In the event of a power outage the bowl drains dry, so the kittens have no access to water (compared to, say, a Drinkwell, where there are pints of water available).Personally, I still think it's well worth 4 stars. But others might have reservations.

Great buy and my cats love
My cats likes this water fountain. It took my one cat about two weeks to get use to it and use. I did keep a bowl of water a few feet away for him to use until he started to use the water fountain. They do drink more water using this since they will not eat wet food anymore. I do replace the water every 3-4 days. It is great for when we go out of town for a few days to keep fresh water around. I also leave a bowl of water out when we got out of town in case the pump breaks so they have something. I do wash it once a week with soap and water. It is pretty quite except when the water gets about half empty and you can hear a difference with the pump (you can only hear the difference when you are near the water fountain). I will add a little more water and it's usually about every 2 days. I do not use the flower as it didn't seem to give the cats room to drink and they didn't really like the flower. I'm glad i got it because i would replace the water in the water dish twice a day and my cats are drinking more water.

No replacement filters available
I like the water fountain. It was reasonably priced and relatively quiet. The problem I am having is getting replacement filters for it. I first purchased the Moen Sky filters that Amazon sold and they worked fine. Next time I went to purchase them they were no longer available with no replacement. I tried the Moen Sky site. They had the filters but referred me back to Amazon. When I tried to contact their customer supply the link didn’t work. I have this piece of plastic now that is useless because I can’t replace the filters. I ordered some filters from Amazon but they didn’t fit. Tried Chrome and Google and found nothing. Thing is worthless now.
